Taking things in a unique direction, those looking for a spa day with friends have to check out the swim-up bar in the adult-only spa and all-season 'secret' garden at Manor House Hotel - Alsager. Having opened in March 2022, this place is designed for beautiful experiences in the Cheshire countryside. The bar is the only one of its kind in the UK, and is surrounded by other features including a pool house, vitality pool, hydrotherapy tub, pavilion, summer house, salt steam inhalation chamber, potting sauna shed, plunge bath and seating areas. Sip champagne in the warm water on sunny winter days and spoil yourself silly.
Fairmont Windsor Park has just about everything you could ask for on a spa break, with masses of space and different experiences to enjoy with friends. Included within its ranks are multiple bars - the 1215 for fine wines and Champagne, The Library Club for cocktails, whiskies and brandies, and our personal favourite - Schroder’s Botanicals Bar - a haven for gin-lovers with a menu that features gins from local artisans and from world-renowned brands.
For a fun and flirty group getaway it's hard to beat W London. In the heart of Soho, this buzzy space is all things naughty and nice. The five-star hotel features a spa with celebrity favourite spa treatments, and one of the best locations for a weekend of (in their words), retox and detox. The bar and restaurant area, The Perception is luxe lounge vibes with high ceilings, theatrical lighting and cocktails aplenty - dress up and have fun!
In the grounds of the Duke of Northumberland’s 200-year-old estate, Hilton London Syon Park is an ultra contemporary hotel with old school values. Service is high, veggies are home grown, and the bar has a reputation for excellent cocktails.
Surrounded by Cotswold views and natural beauty, De Vere Cotswold Water Park is wonderfully located for exploring the surrounding area and by day it offers plenty by way of outdoor activities and group entertainment. In the Lounge & Bar however, or on the decking outside in sunnier weather, bartenders mix your drink of choice before and after dinner or alongside a menu of snacks and light meals including hand crafted pizzas.
It is fitting that being both next to the famous race track, and named on its behalf, the restaurant at Brooklands Spa Hotel is named after the race track’s year of conception, 1907.The style of the bar and restaurant gives a nod to the motor history of the area, with 1920’s and 30’s décor inspiration and a collection of classic cocktails from Cosmopolitans to Stingers.
An ultra cool location and an ultra cool bar, but The Intercontinental London The O2 Spa’s Sky Bar has a reputation entirely of its own for its impressive views of the dramatic London Skyline, and its fantastic range of cocktails adding an extra touch of glamour. Pair with a night out at the theatre or just a glam giggle with friends.
Conveniently located in the heart of Glasgow, and thus perfect for exploring the city or going out shopping, Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel is a chance to do a city spa break in five star style. The hotel looks out onto the green space of Blythswood Square, the hotel’s restaurant and cocktail bar is in the former ballroom providing a relaxed but refined atmosphere - perfect for a getaway with friends.
The Malmaison collection of hotels are known for their seductive intimacy, but Malmaison Newcastle is also ideal for small groups looking for a little celebratory decadence. With local attractions such as The Royal Shakespeare Company close by to provide ample entertainment, the hotel is a mere 15 minutes from Newcastle city centre and is also home to Chez Mal Brasserie where the mixologist is rumoured to like a challenge. So far, our favourite is the Blackforest Martini… the question is, what do you fancy?
