The day is set to celebrate inner and outer beauty around the world and raise awareness for the importance of the beauty industry as a whole by asking members and the public to share their own personal definition of what beauty is. The different definitions will then be collated into CIDESCO’s exclusive ‘International Beauty Dictionary’, providing insight into the beauty industry worldwide.
“The beauty industry is extremely valuable as it helps people across the world look and feel good, inside and out,” said Anna-Cari Gund, CIDESCO International president.
The campaign is a beautiful example of the growing awareness for the importance of all aspects of the spa and beauty industries and the ongoing juggling act of trying to balance busy lives with the importance of wellbeing.
Spabreaks.com’s own Women’s Wellness Week starts on 18th September, in partnership with the charity The Willow Foundation, highlight and encourage discussion around issues affecting women’s physical and emotional wellbeing, with the aim of encouraging women to prioritise their health by taking a little time each day to do something for themselves.
The world’s largest ever massage event
The week will focus around the world’s largest ever massage event, where up to 1,000 women will be invited to take some time out to enjoy a massage at a one of our venues across the UK and throughout the world at 11am on Tuesday 19 September 2017.
All money raised during the week will go to Willow, a charity which organises Special Days for seriously ill young adults – allowing them to take time out from fighting their illness and do something they enjoy.
Over the course of the week, we will also be running live Q&A sessions on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Working with experts ranging from medical practitioners through to business women, these sessions will provide advice and support on a variety of issues facing women, from anxiety through to careers.
