Why it works: the Journey of Darjeeling spa treatment

A historic country house hotel in the heart of Staffordshire, Hoar Cross Hall has a reputation for excellence and their Journey of Darjeeling spa treatment is the cherry on top…

Darjeeling spa treatment

What exactly is the treatment?

Journey of Darjeeling is a 55 minute treatment offering a deep muscular full body massage that uses an energizing blend of Darjeeling green tea and ginger oil with bamboo sticks.

Where does it come from?

La Sultane de Saba, which is inspired by the beauty rituals and secrets that date back to the time of the Queen of Sheba and Cleopatra, which have been passed down through the generations from mother to daughter, merging tradition with the art of wellness.

Each range is a ‘journey’ harnessing rare and precious ingredients sourced from all over the world. The products are exceptionally natural, including some certified organic products, assembled by hand and packaged in glass to preserve freshness, all without parabens, silicones or microbeads and nor are any products tested on animals.

La Sultane de Saba also works with Fair Trade co-operatives to source certain precious ingredients such as pure argan oil and prickly pear (barbary fig) oil.

What is it supposed to do?

Bamboo is known as wise man’s timber and is used in massage to stretch, roll-out and release deep muscular tension. Energetic effects create a unique wave of stress relief to the muscles and mind.

Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?

Along with the beautiful scents of the products a Light moisturising body, hair & pillow mist infuses the room with one of our sublime fragrances. The Treatment follows with a specially selected Tea and Turkish delight for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

Following a treatment we suggest our guests relax in one of our snooze rooms, choose from our luxury heated water beds or head down to the sanctum to one of our hanging pods.

Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?

This is designed for anyone who wants to indulge in a unique experience and some much needed pampering and relaxation.

Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?

The treatment is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, has had a recent operation, or is undergoing any medical treatment which advises you to avoid spa treatments.
