You could not ask for a more exquisite location than that of Thurlestone Hotel and Spa. Perfectly positioned in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK, it has just the right amount of old school charm set alongside contemporary style.

Rooms blend modern comfort and coastal style but while this hotel has all the credentials of a romantic escape with just the right amount of old school style and 21st century comforts. However, it is also a beautiful family hotel with lots of children’s activities and an abundance of family friendly local activities and attractions.

The spa

The spa is a newly renovated asset to the hotel and it has a wealth of facilities that extend the catalogue of outdoor assets. Facilities include the aforementioned indoor pool, a sauna, steam room, a hydrotherapy pool and a relaxation room as well as three treatment rooms where therapists use Decleor, Jessica Nails and Mii Cosmetics make-up in a collection of face and body treatments.

The restaurant

Nowhere is finer for afternoon tea than Devon with its famed clotted cream and Thurlestone Hotel has the most exquisite terrace on which to enjoy it and take in views of the beach. The region’s rich abundance of local seafood is presented in the Trevilder Restaurant, its Rock Pool bistro by the pool, and in the hotel’s own pub, The Village Inn – don’t forget to try the local crab which is a real treat!

With unparalleled views of the sea in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK, Thurlestone Hotel is named for the beach a mere five minute walk from its location, and what a location it is too. Magnificent cliff walks, seas that stretch to the horizon and beaches that are beautiful in both summer and winter in completely different ways.

The hotel is also extremely close to the popular seaside holiday town, Salcombe, famed for its beautiful beaches, popular restaurants and local favourites such as the traditional Cranch’s Sweetshop where you can buy local fudge, or the Salcombe Dairy Ice Cream factory for purchasing the region’s delectable clotted cream ice cream.

For sunny days you are a stone’s throw from a multitude of sandy beaches, beckoning you to visit with buckets and spades, a surfboard in hand or for walks on the clifftops. Come to this hotel for a romantic break or a family holiday, but always take advantage of all the assets this location has.
