Combining scientific knowledge, holistic and local ingredients from their hotels in Italy and Sicily, Hotel ADLER Thermae Spa & Relax Resort has launched its own bio-cosmetic product line available to buy and included in their treatments including their ADLER Facial Sensitive. Here’s what you need to know…

Hotel ADLER Thermae Spa & Relax Resort

What exactly is the ADLER Facial Sensitive?

The ADLER Facial Sensitive starts with a Welcome Ritual, and then we examine the skin in order to customize the treatment as much as possible. First we remove any make-up and then we massage the face, neck and decoltè with the ADLER Soothing cleansing milk.

We rinse the face with a hot herbal towel, and then we do an exfoliation of the skin, massaging in slow and circular movements with the ADLER Balancing face peeling. We then rinse again with the hot herbal towel.

After that we dab on the ADLER Soothing facial lotion and apply the ADLER Soothing Intensive Serum by massaging it in using rose quartz crystals from the decoltè up. Rose quartz crystals are the crystal of the heart and of the fourth chakra, bringing relaxation to mind and body.

At the end of massage we apply ADLER DNA Protection eye treatment cream and the ADLER Soothing Massage mask, which we massage in for 15 minutes on face, neck and decoltè.

Then, we apply the ADLER Soothing Alginate mask, and while laying them, we massage the shoulders with ADLER DNA Protection body oil. We remove the mask, then apply ADLER Soothing day cream on face, neck and decoltè.

Where does the treatment come from?

The treatments as well as the products used are exclusive to ADLER Spa Resorts and Lodges.
ADLER SPA Active Cosmetics is a new product line, and it is inspired by innovation and the surrounding area, based on a philosophy of using sustainable, natural resources.

Tuscany, South Tyrol and Sicily are three Italian regions that are rich in natural treasures, each with their own distinctive features, and this is where we source our ingredients. Active ingredients and essential oils are distilled from the very essence of these lands and are enshrined in each beauty elixir, with the unique properties of local waters increasing their efficacy.

What is the facial supposed to do?

We have created a wide range of beauty treatments to meet the different needs of all our guests, from sensitive skin, a lightening treatment for dyschromia, to lifting treatments for mature skin and a specific treatments for men. We don’t just tailor the products but also the massaging movements based on specific skin types and all treatments offer an immediate visible results.

The ADLER Facial Sensitive itself is a hydrating and quenching treatment created to soothe the skin. It protects sensitive skin from pollutants and ageing. Skin is also provided with long-lasting protection, tone, firmness and radiance.

Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?

In our spa, every treatment has to give both a high quality emotional experience as well as visible results, so every step of our signature treatments is part of a ritual with very slow movements that embrace the person.

We start with an Ouverture Ritual applying pressure to the chest, shoulders, and temples. Then we nebulize the ADLER perfumed body with citrus fruits on a towel that we move over the head of the guest so they can smell the perfume and relax.

We use movements in the treatments that have a soothing effect as well as special ingredients like the rose quartz crystals mentioned. Of all the crystals, the rose quartz is the one most closely connected to the benefits for the skin. It is known for its effects on the circulation and is considered the stone of love.

Due to its special characteristics, rose quartz has been integrated into the ADLER Face Sensitive treatment, both for its calming and balancing action, and for the enhancing effect it has on the anti-aging properties of edelweiss, chlorogenic acid and vitamin B5, all of which are present in the products.

In this beauty ritual a massage phase is carried out with the rose quartz, which influences the absorption of the active ingredients of the product and has a beneficial effect on the mood, determining a rebalancing effect of the emotions.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

To get long term benefits from the treatments you can purchase the ADLER Spa cosmetic products to take home.
