The four star hotel, surrounded by Gloucestershire countryside, has always had a reputation for excellence. This year however, it was joined by a state of the art spa following a £3 million investment in the facilities. The new space has six luxury treatment rooms, a thermal suite, a swimming pool and sauna with garden views, a relaxation room and a gym. It provides an exceptional new option for spa goers to enjoy during a stay in the Gloucestershire countryside.
One of the most popular features is the rich Vitality Pool. Operating at 34-36°C, it is complete with air jets, water massage, neck massage canons and volcano pads. The spa also has a champagne lounge for those special occasions for couples and groups of friends.
Following the renovation, Will Wellon joined as spa manager. He had previously worked for brands including QHotels, Nuffield Health and Virgin Active, developing his skills in various spa, leisure and membership roles.
One of Will’s key initiatives has been a focus on the products the spa uses. Using Elemis and Made for Life, the spa ensures that it supports clients who are undergoing cancer treatment. They partnered with local charity, The Amethyst Trust, who offer spa therapist training in cancer massage and work with cancer sufferers and survivors.
As this first year heads towards the heady festive season, it is wonderful to see Hatherley Manor’s beautiful and carefully considered spa receive so much praise and positive feedback. From Spabreaks.com customers to the team who have visited, it has achieved all of its objectives and more. A luxury and welcoming spa in the Cotswolds, we can’t wait to see what 2019 brings.
