Five reasons we love The Greenway for romantic spa breaks

A 16th century Elizabethan manor house on the outskirts of Cheltenham, The Greenway is an elegant and intimate hotel and spa. It’s perfect for indulgent and romantic spa breaks, especially if you’re celebrating a special occasion…

The historic style for romantic spa breaks

A 16th century Elizabethan Manor House, The Greenway is perfectly suited to its genteel surroundings in Gloucestershire. Throughout the hotel there is a sense of old world grandeur, which is perfectly offset by the more contemporary, purpose built spa in the grounds.

The beautiful gardens

The hotel and spa are set in eight acres of private gardens, further surrounded by Gloucestershire countryside, which is known for being one of the most beautiful locations in the UK. That said, it’s also within easy reach of Cheltenham for a little shopping and milling around the pretty town.

The award-winning restaurant

The rather spectacular oak panelled Garden restaurant has a grand stone fireplace and serves traditional British fare with views over the sunken garden and lily pond. It has been awarded two AA rosettes for its trouble, while the Orchard Brasserie is a rather more modern affair in the Elan Spa itself.

The elegant, adult-only spa

Offering a boutique spa experience in the countryside, the spa at The Greenway is for adults only, adding to its status as a romantic spa breaks destination. Facilities are not extensive, but they are carefully chosen, ranging from an al fresco hot tub and a Champagne nail bar.

Beautifully designed spa experiences

Whether you only have time for half a day of relaxation, or you have a whole weekend put aside for indulgence, The Greenway has really put a lot of thought and care into their spa experiences. Beautiful, long treatments are very much the focus of your stay to ensure you really unwind, but you’re never short of a glass of Champagne or two either.
