Father’s Day

Between homeschooling and home working it is highly likely that what dad needs more than any other time this year is a good spa break. Perhaps those shoulders have been curved as he focuses on his laptop or he has racking his brains for how to do simultaneous equations with his teens and frankly it’s caused a headache. As we start to look forward to a time when the UK’s spas re-open (pending all appropriate and recommended healthcare protocols), it’s the perfect time to consider a spa gift voucher as the ideal Father’s Day gift for 2020.

The benefits of massage

Massage is one of the most popular spa treatments, especially amongst men. The benefits of massage are wide reaching. For us, one of the best things about it is simply the time it allows us to stop, slow down and focus on the moment rather than planning 1,000 steps ahead. That said, depending on the massage you opt for there are lots of physical benefits as well. For example:

  • Massage helps to reduce muscle tension
  • Improve circulation
  • Stimulate the lymphatic system
  • Help recover from soft tissue sports injuries
  • Increase mobility and flexibility
  • Nourish and tone the skin

Spa destination Father’s Day ideas dads with love

When the time comes for spas to once again welcome us all for the pampering and stress relief we so very much crave, a spa voucher leaves us ready and waiting to simply book the date we want. While you can purchase vouchers based on a package that can be redeemed at a destination of choice by the recipient, you can also choose a voucher that’s for a specific spa and spa experience. For example, here are a few spa destinations that really know how to spoil dads rotten…

The Ned, London

An elite spa in the centre of London, The Ned is exceptionally stylish. Amongst its celebrated features is Ned’s Barbershop offers modern gentleman a classic speakeasy-style environment for a quick spruce including a cold beer and a shoe shine.

Celtic Manor, Wales

Celtic Manor is known for many things, including its world class golf courses and sports facilities. The spa itself is a destination in its own right, and when it comes to food you’re spoiled for choice!

The Grove, Hertfordshire

Another spa hotel that sits on a celebrated golf course, The Grove is all about luxury. The spa is the perfect antidote to aching muscles after a round of golf, and if we can coerce you into dining, or simply having coffee, in The Glasshouse, you will not be sorry.

Turn a voucher into the perfect gift for dad

The beautiful thing about a spa voucher is that it can contain an amazing experience to look forward to. However, we get it, even if you order it in the form of one of our fancy gift cards, it’s not a Father’s Day gift that leaves him with anything to enjoy on the day itself. So we have teamed up with the beautiful Temple Spa product line to create gift boxes for spa vouchers that mean he can have both; something to look forward to and something on the day. They include a Way to Go cleansing gel, Stubble Trouble shave gel, Multi-Tasker hair and body wash, Peace Be Still skin balm and a Cool, Calm and Collected cologne for an extremely happy Father’s Day.
