Soothed by the sounds of the sea on the coast, this Cornwall spa and hotel has a laid back beachy vibe that is carried through to its spa. Here, you’ll find a pocket of serenity thanks to lovely interiors and a focus on making sure you get a complete holistic experience.
Five star relaxation
Set over two floors, the spa at Fistral Beach Hotel is a small but perfectly formed, adult-only retreat. On one floor, the swimming pool sits under a domed, starlit ceiling complete with underwater music and massage cannons. It is surrounded by a steam room and a spa bath as well as a fitness suite where exercise classes are available. Meanwhile, the treatment menu is extensive and includes gorgeous ESPA and Leighton Denny treatments. They also have a Little Fistral Spa which focuses on those finishing touches - hair, make-up and nails.
An adult-only hotel
An adult-only contemporary seaside hotel, Fistral Beach has a particular asset that money can’t buy; its position right on a cliff top overlooking the sometimes tranquil, sometimes dramatic ocean on the north coast of Cornwall. Letting in lots of natural light, the 71 rooms and suites are modern and stylish, with a delicate seaside feel to it all and large windows letting in that oh-so-perfect view of the sea.
Local seafood with a view
Food in this part of the world is a real treat, especially if you’re a fan of seafood. Fish on the menu is a real must, but the area is also known for plenty of other local fare. The aptly named Dune Restaurant capitalises on those local specialities. Open for breakfast and dinner daily, it serves a regularly changing seasonal menu, and it’s recommended that you book for dinner as it is popular.
Cocktails and coastlines
The Bay Bar is the place for a warming drink, tapas and light bites post surf by day, as well as flowing cocktails by night. If you have a room with a view however, we definitely recommend ordering something from room service at some point, simply to enjoy it as you watch the waves roll by.
Seaside adventures
As the name of the hotel might suggest, you couldn’t get much closer to the beach if you tried. The hotel sits at the top of the cliff - go for a short walk and you will find opportunities to swim, surf or simply stroll on the sand. In fact, on the beach by the hotel you will find the Quiksilver Surf School Newquay, for those wanting to take advantage of those famous waves.
