Masters in attention to detail, The White Spa in Rhuallt, North Wales, is simultaneously relaxing and indulgent. From food to spa treatments, it covers all the sensory experiences that we so love about a spa break.

The spa

This spa in Wales welcomes everyone, so the facilities are designed both for those looking to work out and wind down. There’s everything you need to give mind and body the chance to reset: a fully equipped gym with matrix gym equipment, personal training and a number of fitness classes available. There’s also a beautiful 12 metre indoor pool, which uses a revolutionary filter media made from green glass so there’s almost no chlorine in it.

The treatments

The spa treatments are really a special part of the overall experience. They use the exquisite Caudalie brand from France. It’s known for its paraben-free skincare using active ingredients from the vine. They are also the creators of Vinotherapy (grape based spa therapies), which add a sense of luxury to the day alongside the wellness.

The hotel

This hotel spa in Wales is a family-run escape. It’s impeccably styled, pristinely decorated in muted tones and offers plenty of space – which adds to the sense of relaxation.

The restaurant

The restaurant is very much what the White House is known for. With a passion for fresh produce and home-cooked dishes with a fine dining flair and using as much as possible from the surrounding ‘natural larder’, Head Chef Wesley produces impressive seasonal menus full of flavour and variety. It is perfectly complemented by a well-stocked bar offering a large selection of real ales, beers and spirits.

The location

With Offa’s Dyke on your doorstep, the White House offers a place to kick back and relax after a long day walking. It’s also a remarkably convenient location within easy access from the A55. As a result, it is a welcome destination in its own right for business or leisure, as well as a convenient and restful stop en route to and from Holyhead Ferry.

Top tips

  • Visit with friends – it’s a great place to spend time with the people you care about.
  • Take time to enjoy a meal – it’s a joyful part of the experience.
  • Make sure you go for a walk and explore the surrounding countryside.
