Spa & Leisure
Health and wellness are two things that are taken very seriously at 4 elements spa by Althoff. Named after the four elements of fire, water, air, and earth, the spa takes these elements in to account to create thematic treatments, and provide a holistic balance for body, mind, and soul. The facilities are grouped in to four ‘worlds’ – tranquillity, movement, warmth, and water, and they include a 28 metre pool, an outdoor pool, two whirlpools, a children’s pool, a bathing area by the lake, six saunas, steam baths, and a fully equipped gym. There are dual treatment rooms, a Thai massage suite, a gold quartz lounger, and an amphibia lounger for water therapy.
The professional and friendly therapists are on hand to help you with your incredibly personalised experience. Treatments include massages, facials, reflexology, specialised health treatments, hot stone massages, body contouring, seaweed wraps, manicures, pedicures, and a variety of baths.
Hotel & Accommodation
The hotel wants to welcome its guests ‘to happiness’, and this seemingly hyperbolic description rests in truth. Nestled away in the heart of nature, the escape from urban hustle and bustle serves as a welcome change. Founded in 1837, the history that comes with the hotel blends with a contemporary style that culminates in a truly unique experience. Home to 123 rooms, and 53 suites, all charming in their own ways, the views from the rooms fill you with promise as you look out over mountains on one side, and the lake on the other.
The sheer number of restaurants available to you are enough to make any foodie’s mouth water, ranging from the Italian Il Barcaiolo, to the traditional Bayernstube, with the Lobby Bar, Restaurant Überfahrt, and Eferner Bucht in between. Each restaurant has their own flair and taste, but all proudly bring you the freshest ingredients from award-winning and masterful chefs. There is also the exciting option to take part in a ‘pleasure workshop’ where you can learn a little more about Alpine delicacies from the professionals with cooking classes from the best.
