Characterised by the omnipresence of water, Aquapura is an environment dedicated to wellbeing in its surroundings, ethos, and facilities which include an indoor pool, aromatic showers, laconium, panoramic sauna, herbal bath and heated water beds.
The spa also offers a collection of treatments, many of which are exclusive to Aquapura Douro Valley, using natural products from Ytsara alongside the option for cosmetic medical treatments and customised weight loss, anti-ageing, and wellness programmes.
Hotel & Accommodation
In the heart of the Douro Valley, one of Portugal’s scenic Unesco World Heritage Sites, the Aquapura Douro Valley is surrounded by eight acres of grounds including five hectares of woodland, while design is contemporary but warm, employing the colours and textures of the region in tones reminiscent of wine and sunshine. Accommodation comprises 50 rooms and suites, and 21 villas making the destination suited to couples, families, and groups.
There are two restaurants, a bar, and a pool bar at the hotel. Abraham Valley is an informal space serving all meals with a view of the pool, while Almapura is known for its regional fare with a modern twist. The bar is adjacent to the restaurants with a terrace overlooking the river and offering everything from tea to port and cocktails. Meanwhile the Pool Bar provides drinks and light bites throughout the day.
