Spa & Leisure

The spa at Castello Di Casole echoes a sentiment of being and living in the moment, even down to the name; ‘Essere’, which means ‘to be’ in Italian. The spa is found in a former wine cellar, and the décor betrays its former role – vaulted ceilings, stone walls, dark colours and dramatic lighting welcome you. Essere Spa’s facilities include seven treatment rooms, relaxation areas, steam rooms, pools inspired by Roman baths, locker rooms, and a state of the art TechnoGym. There are a range of other activities as well, from hiking, road and mountain biking, and you can even go horseback riding in the area. Additionally there are plenty of kids activities to get the little ones involved in. The product house used at the spa is a renowned Italian company called Comfort Zone, and provide consulting on treatments and signature products. The treatments available include massages, aromatherapy, spa rituals, manicures, pedicures, facials, and wraps. Additionally there are yoga and other exercise classes on offer.

Hotel & Accommodation

The award winning hotel is located in the heart of Tuscany, and brings with it all the treats and temptations you would expect on an Italian holiday. Set on an historic, 4,200 acre estate, the 41-suite boutique hotel also has 28 restored and reconstructed Tuscan farmhouses, 10 hotel villas, a penthouse, as well as a game reserve, and all the delicious meals you could want. All the rooms and villas are artfully decorated, and feel rustic and sophisticated.

Being in wine country, it would be difficult to ignore the amazing food and drink happening all over the hotel – especially with 88 acres of vineyards and 13 acres of olive groves present. A benefit of this for the gourmands are the cooking classes, olive oil and wine tasting, vineyard tours, as well as wine country tours. If you fancy a slightly less hands on approach, there will be plenty of opportunity to try traditional and authentic Italian cuisine; Ristorante Tosca is big enough for 70 people inside and 120 outside, and special focus is given to the homemade pasta and local meals. Alternatively you can try Pazzia, for a more casual dining experience. For that afternoon or pre-dinner drink, you must head to Bar Visconti for stunning views of the sunset and a delicious cocktail.
