Everything about it was just wonderful. The social distanceing was in place and we felt safe. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna was all spotless. The lunch was plentiful and of good quality. The massages (body massage for both me and I husband plus facial for me) were very good the best I have had. I would certainly go here again and will highly recommend to friends and family.
Beautiful hotel, Spa Treatment was incredible!
I believe a petite brunette called Lauren did my mums and my treatment. Absolutely the best massage I've ever had!
Lunch buffet style was perfect for me but not my mum unfortunately.
If you love Chicken Curry and Fish Chips and Mushy Peas then your in for a treat!
The spa is small but the rooms are lovely and clean and do the job!
Overall loved it!
Therapist amazing brilliant advice pre and aftercare, good communication throughout. Treatment fantastic!!
Lunch was delicious too, slight bit of waiting around upon arrival, had to find staff member myself and prompt they find the correct staff member to check us in accordingly, minor though. Cleanliness within the changing facilities themselves could be slightly better noticeable white dust on the changing rooms on all chrome handles, edges and the floor is tired not attractive colour. Would return though most definitely though as minor Complaint for the overall package and service we received. Loved it xxx
Treatment was really good however masseuse only spoke to me and not my partner which he was annoyed about as he was not told about any knots in his back or anything.
Spa area was small sauna and steam for small however it was a nice clean small spa.
Overall we had a great stay! Thanks Sophie B for helping me choose.
Last year we had a fab time. The lunch was a buffet in the restaurant and treatments good. That was the reason we all returned.
This time the facilities and treatments good.
The food and the service were not satisfactory. Due to a conference we were unable to use the restaurant and sat in an area for spa guests. The choice were salad or sandwich - not hot food and yet waited over 30 mins . Desert was described as a platter of deserts. Yet a tart cut into seven was place on the table . We had to ask for plates and cream and told cream is usually extra! Complained to the manager saying felt as if we were a hinderance to them. The operation manager came who very condescending kept saying take on board our comments but people complained too much food before . Really ! It was a buffet you picked what you want plus no discount in price. Had to ask for another choice of desert as not every wanted the tart.
What was even more annoying someone we know went the previous month and was allowed to use the restaurant .
Our compensation was a glass of processco .
Very disappointing
Treatments were some of the best we've had - all 11 in our group were really pleased. Would be good to have more loungers by the pool - it is a bit tight on space.
The treatments we had were fine. The staff were friendly but we (there were 5 of us) all felt we were just another item on a conveyor belt. Once in the treatment room the therapist didn't say a word, just got stuck in and sometimes we were a little surprised by their moves. For example the exfoliating brush on my back was really quite rough, it would be nice to be warned it may be a little rough. I wasn't asked about the pressure used on my skin until few minutes into the treatment. Or when our feet were suddenly sprayed with something cold. On the whole the treatment was ok but we didn't feel any personal touch. We understand that the spa is busy but when the staff talked to us after the treatment it was as if they read the speech from a script. They were polite and smiled but we just didn't feel made special. I think this is probably due to how busy they all are, there is no time for them to take breathe and talk to customers outside their script. As a physical therapist myself I know the importance of communication with my clients, letting them know that I am going to move their hand, leg, put something on their backs so it doesn't take them by surprise and they can fully relax.
From booking the day to the spa day itself was an effortless experience. Had an amazing day, everything was just perfect. The worst part was going home time !
The therapists were great , good knowledge, pleasant and friendly, surrounding and treatments good. pool facilities could have a bigger sitting/beds area around pool. would certainly recommend spa treatments
Treatments were excellent but facilities sparse. It was busy and there was only 4 loungers!! No where to sit and relax at times so went back to room at one point.
The spa treatments were good the therapists were really good and well presented. Felt the spa needed a fresh coat of paint and the changing room for the pool needs a facelift but was clean. The hot room was lovely and had everything you need.
Again, to quote the feedback i had.
"
The next day we had our treatments and finally got our robes and slippers! The treatments were very good and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful.
"
The massage was good, by all accounts, the staff were good.
First time having Spa treatments, what can I say! wish we could afford this every weekend 😢
My wife and I had a lovely time, the Spa girls are great and very attentive. We hope to be back soon.
Even though we had booked a spa weekend, I was disappointed to find the spa had ran out of robes and slippers. So we had to fetch our hotel room robes down to spa and walk about with bare feet
No food at the spa so didn’t rate that part. The facilities were really good and the staff explained everything and asked questions prior to the treatment. All wa explained and the treatment were well worthwhile feeling us rejuvinated.
Everything was great, from facilities to food. We above all appreciated the treatmens. Relaxing and professional!
The only thing we did not like is the size of the pool room and the consequent shortage of deckchairs (only 4 in total). This lack did not allow us to relax in a proper way, specially during the afternoon, when the spa was busier.
Myself and partner had a back leg and foot massage in the one treatment room. The therapists were lovely - really friendly and the massage was probably one of the best I’ve had and have them often ( prob about 20 different places in the last year). It would have been nice to have a little bit more time spent in feet as majority of time was on the back. The facilities were good but the pool quite small and the steam room didn’t seem to work well. Overall thoroughly enjoyed it
When we used the leisure facilities we found the staff member was really unhelpful and impolite towards us which made me feel uncomfortable. They didn’t even have slippers for us when we went to collect our robes! The actual facilities were good until my partner went swimming and cut his hand from being in the pool. We went to get first aid from the desk but no one was there so had to go to reception desk. This point I was not happy as he was bleeding.
Over all there was no communication between hotel and leisure staff it was my 30th Birthday away with my partner and felt the hotel staff could of helped more towards my birthday surprise when my partner requested and wasn’t done. They even lost my cake but then was found after.
The spa area was lovely. The sauna and steam room were great, as was the pool.
There were only 4 beds by the pool. We were disappointed with that as there were a lot of people around the pool, so couldn’t fully relax.
I can not fault the spa or staff and the treatments were fabulous. A group of friends and I got the winter warmer package at 50% off so it was £65 per person and we thought that was reasonable.
The only downside was the inclusive light lunch. When we got to the restaurant it was a small selection of Indian food, leek and potato soup or some fruit. Strange combination and not really what you fancy when you’re on a relaxation day. Bit of a let down as we were hungry by this point. We decided to have a piece of fruit and go into Nottingham for lunch which was lovely but for the hotel this was quite the let down, a selection of sandwiches, something basic would have been fine. Curry, rice and naan bread was a bit of a shock.
Had a lovely relaxing day. Treatments were perfect and staff were friendly. Would say the food could have been better but wasnt awful. Only one jacuzzi fits about 8 people in at most so gets full quickly but all in all a good day.
This was my first spa break in the UK and I was not disappointed, had a great experience and enjoyed all the spa treatments and facilities that was on offer. Just what I needed!!
Bek from Spa Breaks who helped arrange this for me was amazing. Thanks!!
The treatments were very good in the spa and the therapists were very good too. My wife had a wax added on that was not the best job though (this was not done by the tow therapists that did the massages and facials) and the 'light lunch' was actually a buffet with stale tacos and rice so we ate very little and felt horribly bloated before our treatments, which was a let down. I'd definitely do a massage treatment here again as that worse very good but not likely to add anything else to the package in future.
It was my first time treating myself to a spa break and I'm so happy that I chose the Marriott Nottingham Belfry. My mum spoke very highly of this hotel and she was not wrong.
My room was beautiful, clean and cosy. The food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
A brilliant overnight spa break away. Accommodated a large group taking into consideration current restrictions. Great friendly service. Would recommend.
An enjoyable stay despite the COVID restrictions, a little disappointed that evening meal and breakfast was in the bar area rather then the restaurant but I guess this is again doen to COVID restrictions.
The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful five stars to the staff could not do enough for us on her birthday we will be going again.
Hotel decor has been upgraded since my last visit and was lovely. Rooms were excellent. Thought evening meal was a little overpriced as portions very small and would have liked more veg with main meal. Breakfast was good. Staff excellent throughout
Accommodation was nice room was spacious and clean. I was not given superior room like I was told I was paying for so I was disappointed.
The restaurant staff were very nice morning and evening. However the only problem I had at restaurant was that there were dirty cutlery and we had to send bank a few times. Food was okay.
Overall we had a good experience. The rooms were comfortable but some of the rooms had not been dusted.
We waited for 45 minutes for dinner on the first night and when we got the food it was cold. There was a black string on one of my guests plates so we returned it.
The stay was a part of my hen do, there was a group of five. The staff were amazing, very accommodating especially when two of my friends got delayed for lunch, it was no bother for them to warm the food up for them. The staff were very pleasant, the only issue that spoilt it a little was the check-in. We were a little early and were told by the receptionist to wait in the lobby, she would let us know when rooms were ready. When other people started queuing up for check in, I went to enquire about our rooms (we waited over 30 mins by then) and was told we would have to join the queue now because of other people waiting. I was disappointed as we expected to be informed when the rooms were ready and we lost valuable time we could have had in the spa. The receptionist apologised but it was a little too late then. Apart from that I can't fault the hotel and would happily return back.
with 7 friends we had a lovely spa weekend break celebrating our October birthdays. the treatment, food, rooms and other services were brilliant, we enjoyed the whole experience. would not mind coming again.
Went to Nottingham Belfry with 5 friends, hotel lobby and rooms were great - very comfortable and modern. The facilities were a little worn down and got very busy at certain points leaving nowhere to sit for some guests. The evening meal was disappointing (very long times between courses (1.5 hours in one case) and the quality lacking. The manager was very apologetic and offers us complimentary drinks which was nice. The treatments were very good and for our total stay/all things considered, the value for money was excellent.
Food was poor and service to rectify even worse.
Lost my bikini top and rang three times and couldn’t get through , then when I did I left a message and no one replied . I paid a lot of money for this stay and wouldn’t go back unless they did something to compensate for the stay we just had .
The advertised buffet lunch was a limited two course a la carte menu due to events in the hotel. The caesar salads came with no chicken although ordered with it, the excuse being a misprint on the menu and confusion by the chef between the restaurant menu and bar menu . We were offered a bottle of wine in the evening and £4 taken off the bill but it didn't make up for having lettuce for lunch.
We also had to ask for towels, drinks, cups, toiletries, robes, slippers twice as the room was set up for two guests instead of three.
The staff are very helpful and friendly, but the hotel is lacking in fine touches . smokers stand at door entrance ( under sign asking them not to this should be enforced by the hotel )the bar area is tired and new staff were working there again very friendly but no experienced staff supporting them. electronic room key failed twice so two long trips to reception to be reprogramed. The restaurant and check out bill was difficult to understand and as we were full package did not understand why I needed to sign for value of food which was duplicated and minused from the bill, both staff were uncertain how this was arrived at. Evening meal was very good quality ,varied menu and excellent service but was exactly the same as bar food, breakfast good and varied staff in both very good
The room did not feel very VIP. The 3rd bed was like a camp bed! The only thing VIP was the bottle of fizz supplied. We had issues with our meal on the first night but staff did handle this well.
Fabulous spa break. Staff were really friendly and extremely helpful. Food was beautifully presented. Treatments were extremely relaxing and really effective. Highly recommendable
we had a wonderful time, the staff were lovely, very friendly and even put a bottle of wine in our room to say congratulations which was a lovely thought and made me feel special. We used fabulous spa facilities and this was really great. we dined, had a breakfast to die for and chilled out all weekend
Hotel provides very good facilities in the way of room, restaurant, gym, swimming pool etc. The staff were polite and very helpful. In talking to us at dinner it came up that we were there as part of our 35th wedding anniversary. The staff member then came out with a platter with some desert on and the words happy anniversary written in chocolate. Really nice bonus and surprise
Restaurant and and staff were a 5* they were polite, friendly, happy, helpful and dealt with any request straight away. We had breakfast lunch and dinner and it was fabulous taste with part of our package.
The bedroom was superb no faults at all apart from heater was working and when we phoned reception to ask for help once again they did not come to help us at all.
We had a relaxing stay. Our triple room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping did forget to cater for 3 in a room, so we only had 2 dressing gowns, cups etc.
The hotel was lovely. I would stay again. The staff were helpful and polite.
This is one of the best hotel experiences I have had in the UK! The staff were amazing from start to end. The price for the room and spa facilities are excellent and great value for money. I will certainly return soon to stay here again!!
Great experience. Polite and helpful staff. Good food.Great variety of food at breakfast, but must include alternatives like beef, or chicken sausages to people who don't eat pork.
Rooms clean and comfortable.
Great atmosphere
Came back from spa with wet hair no dryer working was replaced only problem easy fix didn’t want cleaning but cleaner came by with tea coffee very attentive room service
