Had a really good time considering it was within the corona panic, I was suprised that they called us to say they were still open tbh, we went anyway seen as it was open and we paid...still I very surprised to see so many pensioners there, it was full of elderly people which was alarming that none of them listen to the advice given about staying at home. However we enjoyed our day, pool area tired looking but ok for money. Treatment was fantastic my massage was the best I’ve ever had I will defo book her again.
Again pool virtually inaccessible for me!!!
Somebody had messed up our booking, instead of us all 3 getting our treatments at noon, we hot one at 12, at 13:00 and the last next morning at 10:00, NOT impressed!
However,The treatments themselves were very good!
Unfortunately overall impression of weekend NOTvery good!
The spa was amazing no Fault at all, the treatments were fantastic left us feeling very relaxed and we certainly would come and again and have the same treatments.
The staff in the spa were lovely and the massage was one of the best I've had. Would highly reccomend the spa. The afternoon tea I felt was very average and not very tasty. I felt for the price paid for the treatment and afternoon tea the food didnt reach the standard suggested and I barely touched the food. Wouldn't recommend the afternoon tea package.
The spa/leisure building was lovely and clean and we enjoyed the full day.
My only criticism would be that the spa choices list through spa breaks.com was minimal compared to what was available on arrival. Here, the list was extensive. I had even messaged a lady at spa breaks.com to ask if we could have 2 x 25 minute treatments instead of 1 x 50 minute but she said it wasn’t possible. However on arrival at the spa, it was possible. Perhaps the system needs updating?
We were called as we were just arriving at the spa to tell us that they had to cancel our treatments but we were still able to use the facilities. The treatments were what we were looking forward to the most. They have been rescheduled but it’s not easy for us to organise childcare etc etc. The facilities are a bit tired looking and we had soon had enough - especially as it was so busy. Lunch was nice but service was very slow despite there being very few customers.
Lovely treatment but spoilt a bit by having to go upstairs to the bar to buy drinks. Inconvenient having to go to the public bar in a robe and slippers and having to carry drinks back to the spa area. Also not convenient having to have money on you and not able to pay at the end of the day
The spa treatments was amazing so relaxing. all staff was friendly.and the relaxation room just finishes it of after your treatments It was busy but plenty of loungers.enjoyed the whole weekend.
Our spa trip was lovely. The spa facilities were very small. Small hot tub, pool and sauna. We didn't use the pool in end because it was cold.
Our treatments were fantastic, again the staff are lovely nothing is too much trouble.
Even though the pool was cold I will 100%!! be returning. Value for money is brilliant.
I would give 10 stars for food and staff if I could.
I had a 60 minute treatment and it lasted the whole 60minutes, the therapist was lovely and explained everything to me from what would happen to aftercare aswell
I left feeling very relaxed. The staff were polite and approachable. I was a little worried about the food as I heard from a few people that it wasn't very good, however I throughly enjoyed it. I will definitely be returning in the near future.
On arrival at the spa reception desk no staff was present for a good 5 minutes. Once a member of staff had arrived, I handed over our booking confirmation and we were given our robes, slippers and towels and pointed in the direction of the changing rooms.
I don't think it's a good idea for spa users to use the same changing rooms as the swimmers because on having to go back to my locker, my slippers were soaking wet from the floor.
The 60 minute treatment was actually 40 minutes long, though Estelle that actually carried out my treatment was lovely and very professional.
After treatment there was time to relax in the relaxation room before lunch and we wanted a cup of tea. There were no facilities near by and was told to go down the corridor AND up some stairs only to find myself to be the only one stood there in the bar, in robe and slippers. I did not feel comfortable at all (perhaps I would have felt better if it had been a ladies only area).
On deciding not to use any more of the facilities we got dressed and went to the bar for lunch only to be told that on that day it was over in the hotel restaurant. A female member of staff escorted us and it was a good job we didn't stay in our robes as the journey took us outside (it was raining) and through the back of the hotel.
The food was lovely but there were many tables waiting for plates to be taken away. We were going to have a coffee after our dessert but after waiting so long for our plates to be taken (which never happened) we decided to just leave.
The spa was lovely the treatments was nice however the therapist never asked much questions about my skin before the facial and just sort of did her own thing I was a little disappointed with my overall trip this time the food was a little too greasy too this time
Lovely spa day with my friend. All staff were very friendly and attentive (especially in the bar where we ate). The beauty treatments we had were amazing and the light lunch which was included in our offer left us full for the rest of the day! Couldn't fault anything.
Disappointed with the pool and facilities-very functional no sense of luxury, more like a town baths. Complete with toddlers having swimming lessons. Showers grotty needs a refurb. Treatments amazing, pity they asked me to pay up on arrival without checking I’d paid already but never mind. Overall wasn’t worth £246 really don’t recommend for a day the facilities are so poor, just go for treatments.
My wife and I have been to double tree by hilton forest pines now many times. we have never had a bad experience and are always made very welcome by the staff. The facilities are first class and are always very clean. I have recommended forest pines to many of my friends who have also been impressed with the quality of the day and the price paid.We would recommend the spa day to everyone.
The spa itself was ok,was not keen on being overlooked by people in the gym.The staff were very helpful and the treatment very good. However my relaxing birthday facial was not relaxing at all, as over the spa music I could only hear banging and drilling coming from the construction work. This spoilt the experience as the therapist provided an excellent treatment. We did not feel relaxed after this experience. Also felt quite uncomfortable walking around the hotel with workmen everywhere. I appreciate work has to be done it was just unfortunate I was not informed about this in advance and it took the shine off my birthday break .
We really enjoyed our spa break, all staff at the hotel were very helpful and courteous. Our room was spacious and very comfortable.
The treatments we had were amazing and the relaxation room was fantastic.
The pool area, steam room , jacuzzi and sauna were always very busy as they serve the gym and whole hotel. I would have preferred a quieter area linked just to the spa.
Unfortunately the hotel wasn’t really Wheelchair friendly, lots of VERY heavy double doors, automatic doors would have been a great help... we had to struggle all the way round outside to get to the pool & spa area, pool almost inaccessible as no disabled changing area.. very disappointing. Made what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend treat into a lot of humiliating(for me) hard work.
On the plus side; dinner was good and the restaurant staff excellent.
We had an absolute amazing relaxed time at the hotel couldn’t fault anything about the place other than the price of alcohol drinks they were quite extortionate, the food was gorgeous and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you .
The hotel was lovely, the staff were very friendly and thoughtful by placing a happy 21st birthday slate with mini cakes on in the room. The food was lovely, although the menu was a little limited. The spa/leisure building was lovely and clean.
We will be returning!
Our stay was a fantastic and relaxing weekend.even though it was busy there was no waiting for food or any service.the staff was fantastic and friendly and helpful at all times.
Absolutely brilliant!
The staff were so lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, excellent service. The hotel was very clean. Beautiful comfy big bed.
My favourite part was the food. Our evening meal was gorgeous! Hot plates and all freshly made. The selections at breakfast were fantastic and even though being a buffet the staff were on handing checking up on you for anything extra you needed.
Everyone was polite and said hello from the receptionists to the cleaning staff
Highly recommended. Extremely good Value for money I will be returning and booking through spa breaks, we had no problems. Very easy!!
Hotel, bar and restaurant were all clean tidy and welcoming, every staff member we encountered was helpful polite and friendly from reception to spa staff to room maintenance
Had a fabulous night away from daily life! The hotel was beautiful, all the staff were friendly and helpful, the treatments were amazing, the food was delicious, the breakfast had a full range of things to eat and the room was nice, spacious and had everything we needed. Definitely recommend forest pines!
I did enjoy my stay here the staff was lovley and helpful however it was a little unorganised our reservation on the night for food wasn’t down, we wasn’t down for breakfast either so we felt a little stupid and had to prove both times we’d booked and already paid for the dining service
Excellent stay, staff fantastic, hotel room had recently been refurbished and was lovely. Food at lunch, dinner and breakfast was excellent, great choice.
Arrived at the hotel early evening with my daughter for a relaxing spa beak as a birthday treat. The staff were very helpful and the Room was lovely. However the next morning was a bit of a shock to see workmen swarming all over the hotel as we went down to breakfast. With banging and drilling going on while we were eating. This spoilt the atmosphere of the lovely restaurant, we stayed in their as little time as possible.
