Spa & Leisure

There’s a sense of being a little bit like royalty as you ponder what to do first in this beautiful location. Would you like to play tennis first? Take a peek at the gym facilities, go for a walk around the grounds, play a game of giant chess in the garden, indulge in a pot of croquet or head straight to the sauna and steam room for a little pre pampering preparation.

The hotel’s Eden Spa is a little haven of tranquility and decadence, designed for the sole purpose of enjoying one of their many ESPA spa treatments in one of four luxury treatment rooms. There is no pool, this is a space that’s entirely for sitting back and enjoying a little me-time.

Hotel & Accommodation

A beautiful country house hotel near Hatfield Heath, Down Hall is in a wonderfully convenient location close to London, airports and transport links. The building dates back to 1322 and retains its sense of grandeur with Italianate details, ornate ceilings and an abundance of natural daylight. Set in 110 acres of surrounding woodland, parkland and landscaped gardens, accommodation has been decorated with both a nod to modern expectations as well as a real sense of the hotel’s history whether you stay in a classic room or one of the opulent suites.

Dining provides a multiplicity of options, with The Grill Room at the centre of the experience offering award-winning cuisine and using vegetables sourced from the hotel’s own gardens. A traditional afternoon tea can be taken in the Lounge or Ibbotson’s Tea Lounge, picnics are available in the summer, and Sunday lunches and in-room dining are also available.
