Spa & Leisure

In a 532 acre estate and 25 minutes from Gibraltar, the spa and leisure facilities at Finca Cortesin take their character from the surrounding area. The gym with its floor-to-ceiling windows looks out onto the gardens and the sea beyond, and there are also three outdoor pools as well as an indoor pool – all treated with salt water to benefit the skin.

The spa area itself has a complete thermal experience with three dedicated areas – one for men, one for women and one for both, featuring a snow cave, Turkish bath, Finnish sauna, and a relaxation zone. There are also six beauty cabins and a double suite complete with showers and a huge bathtub offering a collection of holistic therapies and treatments using Biologique Recherche, AURA CHAKÉ, and La Ric product lines.

Hotel & Accommodation

One mile back from the sea outside the coastal settlement of Casares and close to the fashionable area of Sotogrande, sits the Finca Cortesin resort. Constructed around two courtyards, the hotel has 67 suites which in turn are surrounded by an 18-hole golf courses, while design showcases the architectural genius of Roger Torras and Ignacio Sierra on the outside, and combines continental antiques with terracotta floors and old wooden doors salvaged from European castles on the inside.

German born Executive Chef, Lutz Bösing has spent 20 years mastering the art of Spanish cooking, which today is evident in El Jardin restaurant which features two distinct dining spaces – in the form of an indoor area decorated with hand-painted Portuguese ceramics and restored antiques, alongside a terrace adorned with hundred year old olive trees and views of the Mediterranean to offset the menu.
