Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa

We were first greeted by a young lady who informed us she was on work experience and would have to wait to find another member of staff. The spa were not expecting us despite being booked in over a month ago. The staff member asked to see my confirmation email and took my phone to the manager. She came back and said that we hadn’t been booked in and would it be ok if our treatment could be moved from 14:30 to 14:00 which we said was fine. We were taken through to the bistro and left to pre order our lunch, but we had no idea what to do next - where the facilities were, how we used them etc. We had to go and track a member of staff down to request our robes/towels etc. Still we received no instructions and had to ask where the pool was and what time should we be back for lunch and the treatment. We went to the pool and attempted to use the locker system on the minimal instructions given. I ended up not being able to get back into my locker and had to ask a member of staff for assistance. I was made to feel daft for not being able to access it. 13:55 we were sat in the reception area waiting. People around us got called for their treatment. At 14:15 I found a member of staff and asked what was going on. We eventually got into our treatment room at 14:25. The treatment was amazing and staff lovely. It’s just a real shame we didn’t feel as looked after during the entire visit. The steam room was also out of order, and from reading reviews - it seems to have been for a while!
