Spa & Leisure
In the middle of the Indian Ocean, the Mauritian environment itself is enough to make you embrace a lifestyle devoted to health and leisure, so it is fitting that the Heritage Awali resort has a multitude of facilities alongside its Seven Colours Spa. There is a gym, a host of sports and three swimming pools, while the spa itself has two massage kiosks on the beach, Vichy showers, steam baths, a sauna with its own cold water pool, a pool with eddying currents, relaxation kiosks, and seven indoor massage rooms.
There are also 20 treatment rooms, and this is where the spa’s name reveals its hidden depths as they offer seven colours rituals inspired by the oriental philosophy of the Chakras and comprising four treatments each for different desired results. Additionally they offer a selection of signature treatments also encompassing a holistic ethos.
Hotel & Accommodation
The African word ‘awali’ means a return to the origins, and amongst the grandeur of a luxury hotel, that is what the Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort aims to achieve with design sympathetic to the surrounding environment. Nestled between the sea and the surrounding nature reserve, there are 154 bedrooms, five suites and a villa looking out onto vibrant views of the natural landscape.
The main restaurant, Balafon is a vibrant, relaxed environment open for breakfast and dinner, but there are also four other options when it comes to refreshment – the Mediterranean seafood restaurant – Infinity Blue; the poolside Amafrooty for a light lunch; the formal, French, Le Château de Bel Ombre set in a 19th century manor house, and family-friendly African restaurant – Boma. Additionally you can find the newly opened Zafarani restaurant that serves Indian food. There are also two bars open for drinks throughout the day.
