We went when the spa was quieter in March 2020, which may have been part of what made it more nice. The staff were very informative. They were very helpful when they amended lunch options a little to help us as we are gluten free.
We had a facial and back and should massage, this was extensive and covered the whole back and even arms. The facial was very relaxing and included a head massage.
The only things which would have made this any better are having an infrared sauna and a larger lunch menu, but considering what we paid this was excellent value as we were able to use the foot pools, hydrotherapy pool, standard sauna, experience shower and steam room. Everything was in working order.
We will certainly go back!
All of the booked treatments were amazing. The spa itself was very busy, almost overcrowded which made it really hard to relax. There were no free beds in the swim area or the relaxation room. We were told on booking that we could use the spa facilities the following day after our stay but this was not the case. Very disappointing.
Fantastic staff and treatment, the food was delicious. However, spa and hot tub area were very cold. It was also a very small space, with 15 people trying to use the facilities and only 6 loungers which was not so ideal.
The spa was well maintained and staff we very helpful and friendly. Treatment rooms were calm, warm and cosy, and treatments were heavenly and relaxing. A few more loungers or chairs with footstools would be ideal for busy periods like weekends so that you have somewhere to rest. Also not many places to hang our robes. With the space outdoors next to the spa, they should consider a pool area.
The staff & the treatment were excellent. The facility was great just a bit on the small side with only 8 loungers. No swimming pool but a good sized spa/ jacuzzi pool instead. Excellent value for money
Lunch in the Spa was lovely & the choice was better than the evening meal. Treatments were very good & felt very relaxed afterwards, we definitely return. We were lucky enough to have the Spa to ourselves for a good hour but think if busy the space would be tight.
My friend and I arrived and were greeted by friendly staff. Following the completion of a questionnaire, we were shown where to go and what to do. We were provided with robes and slippers to take home and were shown to the relaxation room where we awaited our treatments. My friend and I both chose a back, neck and shoulder massage and a facial in which we were booked into a shared room. The therapists were friendly, reassuring and we both agreed to feel completely at ease. The massage was very relaxing and we were asked if the pressure being used was ok. The facial followed straight after and was conducted with no fuss or no stress. Following our treatment, we were allowed to 'recover' before being shown back to the relaxation room. My friend and I wanted to use the facilities and we were directed to the spa. The spa itself had an aqua foot massager, a steam room, a sauna, a tropical shower and a jacuzzi. There were about 6 seats/beds to sit where my friend and I spent the last 10 mins drying off before dinner. Everything was laid out really well and there was even a 'spa journey' guide on how to make the most out of our experience. We were booked to have lunch at 12 so we got dried and dressed (hairdryer was available in the locker room - the lockers which were code activated and really simple to use) and headed back to the restaurant/reception area. We were asked if we wanted refreshments in the form of drinks whilst waiting for our food. Our meals were presented in a timely manner and were delicious. The soup starter was quite a large portion however it was my choice to finish it because it was so nice! My main was chicken and bacon ceaser salad, again a large portion so couldn't quite finish it but only due to the size and not the taste! My friend polished her seabass dish off! Altogether a very relaxing and stress free experience and for the money I paid for it, excellent value. We will definitely be returning!
Great massage and very nice new facilities though no pool. Afternoon tea very tasty. Brilliant package at a very good price. It looks like their normal prices are high.
What a lovely spa experience we had! The therapists were friendly and efficient and extremely well organised. The spa was spotlessly clean. The treatment rooms were large and comfortable. We all had lovely treatments including the Elemis facial for one of us and full body massages for the rest. Our only comment was that there were not many beds in the "wet" part of the spa and I imagine if it was busy with hotel guests then it could be a bit of a scrum! We had a delicious afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes and plenty of scones with jam and cream. It was a very enjoyable day.
The staff was absolutely lovely, great service. The facilities were good, however a swimming pool would have been amazing. Tea for two was delicious! Highly recommended.
Booked for my birthday, absolutely wonderful staff, the food was incredible. My massage was super relaxing, will definitely be going back. Really enjoyed the steam room, sauna , such a relaxed atmosphere.
Excellent stay, the food was out of this world. Couldn’t fault anything. The only thing I will say is that the rooms were set to a very warm temperature and I know some of the party found it difficult to turn the temperature down.
We booked a nights stay with food and spa treatment at the holiday Inn for a special occasion. Online the spa looked great and photos of the restaurant looked modern and smart. However, on arrival everything was pretty shabby and staff were either too busy or a bit confused. I know holiday Inn is meant to be budget, but for the price we paid and the online advertising, we expected a lot better. The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was tasteless. I love my food but didn’t even bother finishing it here. this to be The bedroom was just two singles pushed together and the decor drab.
The spa treatments, staff and lunch served there were excellent. We could not fault them on anything and would happily return there for another treatment. The spa facilities were very new and smart. One comment would be that it was pretty cold in the spa room and hot tub. There were also only 6 lounge rooms seats in the spa for 15 people trying to use the heya read at the same time. This made it very awkward finding space to put your belongings, and people hovered waiting for a chair.
The hotel is easy to find and lots of parking. Staff were all very attentive and friendly. They smiled and engaged well and made sure we felt at home which was so refreshing. The room was comfortable and clean. Sadly the hairdryer did not work otherwise it would have had five stars.
Room was clean & beds very comfy! We choose to upgrade our dinner as the choice for our package was ok but limited. Would definitely recommend the hotel
Excellent time at the Holiday Inn & Ana Spa. Everyone was lovely and the massages were fantastic. Would definitely recommend the package and would love to come back again.
Fantastic, nothing too much trouble for the staff and a lovely modern hotel that whilst not stunning in the outside had been well designed inside. Fab spa and even managed a fantastic gluten free afternoon tea for our coeliac friend.
The hotel staff was a bit rude when we arrived, waving us off instead of helping us find out were we're having our tea. We didn't know the spa had a cafe of its own and it took them 30min to figure it out. I know you guys are busy, but we were nice to you and we expected the same in return. It gave us a bad vibe right at the start of our anniversary weekend break.
