Spa & Leisure

Overlooking the Côte d’Azur and Casino Square, the Hotel Metropole is a lavish destination, complete with a fitness centre designed for the modern traveller. There is an 85 square metre gym area complete with weight training and cardio, sitting alongside Metropole ESPA Monte-Carlo, complete with 10 treatment rooms including two VIP suites, and a heat experience with saunas and steam baths.

Treatments use the renowned ESPA product line, in a collection inspired (and named after) the Greek gods, and as if that wasn’t enough, the outdoor ODYSSEY space designed by fashion icon, Karl Lagerfeld, extends the experience with a pool, ‘beach area’, sun loungers, and lush gardens.

Hotel & Accommodation

Known as the playground of the rich and famous, few places exude luxury as unequivocally as Monte-Carlo, and at the centre of it all, just a few steps from the legendary Grand Casino is the Hotel Metropole. Redesigned inside and out by Jacques Garcia, this five star hotel has played host to the likes of Claudia Schiffer and Sting. It encompasses classic design with a modern twist using rich textures across 141 rooms, many of which enjoy views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Ensuring that there is something for every palette, although at each turn it remains as decadent as if James Bond had consulted on the menu himself, there are four options when it comes to food and beverages. Yoshi offers Japanese food, and Odyssey is an alfresco space conceived by the creative genius that is Karl Lagerfeld. The main restaurant is Joël Robuchon, which offers Mediterranean cuisine executed by Head Chef, Christophe Cussac, and there is also a bar and lobby area for lighter options, cocktails and pastries. Alternatively, you could just reside in the opulent penthouse suite, or Suite Carré d’or (Golden Square), with its very own terrace – ideal for hosting a cosy cocktail party for 50.
