Spa & Leisure

The NUXE Spa Bains de Léa at the InterContinental Bordeaux - Le Grand Hotel is as decadent as you might think for a destination where luxury is the expected standard. Wellbeing comes in the form of a swimming pool complete with sensory experiences such as massage jets and counter currents. There is also a sauna, steam room, and hammam, an outdoor Jacuzzi, and a terrace with panoramic views across the city. Power plates, a gym, and personal training are available; as are refreshments, whether for you the preference is a glass of champagne or healthy dishes.

The spa has seven cabins devoted to treatments, two of which are dual rooms, while the other is for VIPs, and there are three wet cabins with Vichy showers amongst other experiences. Treatments and therapies range from hydro massage baths to oriental scrubs, cosmetology, and back modelling.

Hotel & Accommodation

In 1789, in the heart of the golden triangle at the centre of Bordeaux, the InterContinental® Bordeaux - Le Grand Hotel was originally a manor house designed by architect, Victor Louis. Today it retains its neoclassical façade which mirrors the Grand Théâtre; Corinthian style colonnade, and elaborate interiors, including the marble room now known as the Sauternes Salon; all of which has been updated by designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel features 130 rooms with a unique and cosy decor and the hotel is well equipped to meet the needs of both business and leisure guests travelling to the city.

A timeless centerpiece of InterContinental Bordeaux - Le Grand Hotel, the gourmet restaurant Le Pressoir d’Argent is overseen by Gordon Ramsay. Last September 25th, the British multi-starred Chef gave his Head Chef Gilad Peled and his team the mission to show the excellence of Aquitaine products, combined with great wines, and to quickly bring Le Pressoir d’Argent at the forefront of France’s gastronomic destinations. There is also Le Bordeaux brasserie, The Orangerie with its glass roof, and two bars with completely different atmospheres – Victor Bar, and The Black Diamond. The Night Beach rooftop bar is admired by many, and has even been named the third best rooftop bar in the world, according to The Gentleman’s Journal.
