My friends and I had a nice day at The Manor House Hotel Spa. We were all more than happy with the treatments we had and our lunch was excellent. The bar, dining room and treatment rooms were first class, very clean and relaxing. The therapists were very professional and friendly. There was only one person working in the bar/restaurant (unfortunately we didn’t get his name) he was brilliant.
As for the Spa it’s self, unfortunately the whole place is in serious need of a refurbishment. The ceiling above the swimming pool looks like it could collapse at any moment, we noticed broken tiles around the jacuzzi. There were holes in the walls where it looked like fixtures had been removed and not plastered over. The overall decoration is dark and dingy. The changing rooms are small and badly laid out and very dirty. It looked like the floor hadn’t been washed in months. The Spa staff were friendly but didn’t give much information, considering we hadn’t been before, we had to ask about everything. The conservatory area could be lovely but was spoiled by a few problems, there were dead flies all over the floor which no one saw fit to sweep up, also we mentioned to a member of staff about a puddle of water between our loungers and water dripping which appeared to be from a leak in the roof, we were told if it got any worse we would just have to move! There was no offer to mop up the water and maybe place a bucket under to catch what was obviously rain water. Overall I would not return.
