Spa & Leisure

In the rural quiet of Puglia, it doesn’t get much more relaxing than the Aveda Spa experience at Masseria Torre Coccaro. Built into an atmospheric rock, it uses natural materials such as wood, rice paper, and flagstone in its architecture and houses a gym, pool, whirlpool, and a Turkish bath with eucalyptus oil to create a sense of earthy wellbeing combined with understated style. Treatments at the Masseria are a particularly glorious experience combining the use of herbs and organic fruits in the Aveda products, as well as olive oil treatments (olivetherapy) to really make you feel at one with the region. Reflexology and Shiatsu are also available, and provide the ideal accompaniment to post yoga or tai chi bliss.

Hotel & Accommodation

Immersed in the olive groves of a large estate overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Masseria Torre Coccaro is a five star luxury resort with the atmosphere of a traditional Apulian Masseria (a traditional country house in Puglia). With 40 rooms, it is an intimate environment peppered with original features, such as fireplaces, in some of the suites. The hotel restaurant is typically regional, sitting underneath a pergola with a terrace that once again overlooks the olive groves. The food is locally sourced, and the vegetables are straight from nearby organic farms to add to that sense of rustic wholesomeness and quintessentially Italian charm. The bar in the old tower is the ideal place to end an evening, with its huge fireplaces, contemporary art, and plush sofas.
