What makes this an Elysium Collection spa?

Exceptional spa feature:

The hot house experience, complete with an indoor fire pit and rooftop hot tub - especially if you add their Ration Kit including marshmallows, liquor and much more.

Wow-factor

Aside from the location, it’s the attention to detail that really wows. Far from being marooned in the middle of the water, owners have really thought about turning the hotel into an experience. Perhaps you will enjoy absorbing the history alone, or maybe you fancy learning the art of sabrage - opening a bottle of Laurent-Perrier Champagne with a sword.

Most loved by

Anyone whose heart belongs to the sea is going to love it here. For couples it’s obviously romantic, with opportunities to snuggle by the fire pit and drink hot chocolate or stay in a former lighthouse. Then again, families and groups will enjoy the adventure of going on a high speed rib blast or a laser battle in the lower level labyrinth of the fort.

Best known for

Being a historic landmark - there’s really nothing quite like this hotel to compare it to, and proprietors have managed to bring together past and present beautifully so that it’s not just about the the location, but the added details they put into every package.

Spa & Leisure

  • Hot Tub
  • Outdoor Hot Tub
  • Relaxation Room
  • Dual Treatment Rooms
  • Sauna

With one of the best views you could possibly ask for in this buzzing sailing location, it's hard when staying here to be anything other than swept away by the romance of the sea. As such, it’s the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the activities available, like heading out on a speedboat to get that little closer to the water. For those wishing to keep things luxurious and decadent however, ESPA at Solent Forts brings the spa experience into an entirely unique location.

Guests have access to the hot house experience, complete with an indoor fire pit and rooftop hot tub. There's a sauna, games room and you have access to relax in the light house suite whilst enjoying those panoramic views of the Solent. There's also four beautiful treatment rooms including one double room, which is ideal for friends or couples, and all of this is brought together in tailored packages where added details provide that extra touch of wonder.

Hotel & Accommodation

  • Restaurant

Key Features

  • The history - the hotel is an entirely unique experience in a 150 year old fort military fort.
  • The range of activities, whether you fancy a high speed boat race, rum tasting or cocktail making.
  • The rooms and suites, which each have their own character thanks to panoramic views and historic details.
  • Your arrival by boat - a dramatic entrance to the historic fort in the middle of the Solent.

An entirely unique experience, only to be found in the midst of the Solent, No Man's Fort is an adult-only hotel boasting unparalleled sea views and historic architectural details that tell the story of its past. The fort is located in the middle of the water, reachable only by private boat. So there is a sense of drama and ceremony as you arrive. Built as a defence against enemy attacks on the Solent and Portsmouth, it is one of three forts that date back 150 years, but the only one turned into a hotel. Today, with its 15ft granite walls and armour plating, it remains a testament to Victorian engineering but is also home to 22 rooms and suites. Each beautifully styled, they are brought to life by original details that have been left intact - the odd hammock hook in the ceiling or the opportunity to stay in the penthouse, which is in the original lighthouse, both being a case in point.

Dining at the hotel, as you might imagine, continues to offer a unique approach. There’s a lounge bar, cabaret bar, pub for post dinner drinks, and a fine dining restaurant for gourmet fare and afternoon tea at the hotel. A favourite way to while away the evening however, is to wrap up warm and head to the rooftop fire pit for hot chocolate and stargazing at night.
