Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa,
Spa & Leisure
In a hundred and twenty three acres of Surrey’s picturesque countryside, and at forty-five thousand square feet, the spa at Pennyhill Park is not short on space. You do have to walk outside to get from the hotel rooms to the spa itself, but once there it plays host to a wealth of facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, experience showers, a tepidarium, hot tubs, an ice cave, herbal sauna, laconium, aromatic schnapps steam room, relaxation lounge and a ballroom pool with underwater music. In 2015 a £1.2 million refurbishment was completed which welcomed over-sized treatment beds, initially designed to accommodate the England Rugby Team who stayed during the 2015 rugby world cup. The refurbishment brought with it 11 heat experiences, two level floating DROM saunas, an ice igloo experience, plunge pool, two person rasul chamber, as well as the expansion of the original facilities. Their philosophy is ‘choose, sow, blossom’, a mantra to give guests more choice, indulgence, and a personalised experience.
Of course state of the art spa and fitness facilities need a cutting edge list of treatments, and as if it wasn’t enough that they offer a cavalcade of facials, body treatments, and alternative therapies using The Spa, an Exclusive Range of products, alongside Spanish brand, Natura Bissé, who have treatments that feature crushed diamonds and rose essence. There is a Natura Bissé ‘bubble’, one of only 24 in the world, which means the treatments are carried out in an environment where 99.995% of the air breathed is purified and free of polluting particles. A recent refurbishment also saw the creation of a Jessica nail bar, four manicure stations and a Mii makeup area.
Hotel & Accommodation
Built in 1609, the hotel is a visual feast inside and out, with four-poster beds and understated grandeur harping back to its Tudor roots, not to mention the views across landscaped gardens and countryside, complete with the hotel’s own nine hole golf course, jogging tracks and walking trails for the ultimate in wholesome holidays. Adding to the luxurious experience of course are the two award winning restaurants. The Latymer is their fine dining restaurant offering bold flavours in dishes using locally sourced ingredients inspired by the seasons and created by award-winning Chef Matt Worswick, while the Brasserie, under Ram Jalasutram is a less formal option serving all-English delicacies and enjoying two AA Rosettes of its own. For sunny days there is also an al fresco decking area by the main outdoor pool with its own bar and a barbecue.
