We were quite underwhelmed by the spa at Cwrt Bleddyn, it seemed
old and tired and could do with a revamp.
The pool was ok and the sauna and steam room were good. The jacuzzi was ok too, although we couldn't figure out how to start the bubbles again when they had stopped, there were buttons on the wall but we could only get minimal bubbles flowing again.
The pool area itself was very dark, it felt a bit like we were in a dungeon with no natural light. It would have been impossible to enjoy the space and read a book and relax in there so we didn't actually stay very long. There was a water fountain but the water was warm and quite unpleasant to drink.
The changing facilities left a lot to be desired with most of the lockers not working. The showers were not good, only 2 had doors and the water only stayed on for about 10 seconds per push of the button.
We all had aromatherapy massages which were very nice, the massage area is nicer than the pool area and the therapists were good.
The lunch was ok, nothing special.
The whole place seemed like it had a lot of potential and could have been lovely....and probably was 10 years ago. I think it just needs a makeover!
