Hotel & Accommodation
Dating back to 1828, The Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire has its place firmly set in history as well as the South Dublin landscape overlooking Dublin Bay. The hotel is an ornamental, white building complete with intricate mouldings on the outside thanks to the original design work by John McCurdy. Today it retains its four star status, and testament to its high-end appeal is a string of prestigious visitors, including Frank Sinatra, Laurel and Hardy, and Charlie Chaplin.
As a merry nod to former guests, there is a Laurels Bar and a Hardy’s Bar, while the Pavilion Bar and Bay Lounge are also open for drinks and light bites. The Dún Bistro is the main restaurant however, providing a luxurious environment and a fine dining menu overseen by Head Chef, Darrin Parrish.
