Twelve Night Sri Lankan Experience
Twelve nights accommodation across three hotels in Sri Lanka, on either a bed and breakfast or half board basis (depending on the hotel). Your Sri Lanka Seaside Treasure Itinerary includes:
Day One: On arrival at Bandaranaike International airport you will be met by your local guide who will then transfer you to Bentota (roughly 2 hr 30 mins drive) for your stay at Centara Ceysands Resort & Spa. Enjoy a day of relaxing and enjoying the hotel’s facilities which include complimentary yoga classes held from Monday to Thursday.
Day Two: Begin your day with a cycling tour before boarding a river boat along the Balapitiya Madu River, where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the unspoiled lagoon. Your evening will then be spent visiting the famous Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda which since being established in 1988 has released around 3.5 million baby turtles into the wild.
Day Three- Four: Relax and unwind at the Centara Ceysands Resort & Spa or alternatively enjoy the thrills on offer at Bentota Beach by trying your hand at water-skiing, jet skis, snorkelling and diving (water sports will occur supplement charges). In the evening you can enjoy one of the following 90 minute spa treatments in resort; a Ceylon sea sand & senses signature massage, Aromatherapy massage, Nuad Thai (Royal Thai Massage), Deep muscular massage, Nuad Pra Kob (Thai Herbal Compress Massage) or a Hot stone massage.
Day Five: In the morning you will be taken to the countryside retreats of Bentota, where you can admire the works and home of Sri Lanka’s most prolific and influential architect Geoffrey Bawa, located in one of the world’s most magical gardens. Following this your afternoon will be spent relaxing and enjoying the facilities on offer at the Centara Ceysands Resort & Spa.
Day Six: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out and boarding your transfer to Galle (roughly 1hr 30 mins drive), where you will then check in at the Jetwing Lighthouse. Relax and enjoy the facilities in resort before heading out on an evening cycling tour of the Galle Dutch Fort & museum.
Day Seven: An early morning start gives you the best opportunity to experience the fantastic whale watching tours in Mirissa, world famous for sightings of Blue Whales, Sperm Whales, Dolphins and Turtles. After this spectacular tour is complete you will be given the rest of the day to relax and unwind in the hotel.
Day Eight: Your day will begin with a trip to visit the Handunugoda Tea Estate, which is a family owned plantation in Tittagalla within the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. They are well known for producing the famous 'Virgin White Tea', a tea untouched by hand, and guests will also be treated with a freshly made cup of Ceylon tea and tasty piece of cake to end the tour. Following this you will have the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the facilities at the hotel.
Day Nine - Ten: Spend the morning at your leisure before an afternoon drive to Udawalawe (3 hrs 30 mins), where the following morning you will enjoy a morning safari at the fantastic Udawalawe National Park. Feast your eyes on the array of animals roaming the park including Elephants, Buffalo, Monkeys and Sambar Deer. After the game drive you will then be transported to the Anantara Peace Heaven Hotel in Tangalle, where you can spend the rest of your day relaxing and enjoying the facilities.
Day Eleven: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel followed by the optional meditation or yoga classes in resort. Your afternoon will then feature a visit to the Bundala National Park and bird sanctuary which host a stunning 197 species including the Flamingo.
Day Twelve: Relax at Tangalle Beach or enjoy the facilities on offer at the Anantara Peace Heaven hotel, where you can unwind with an Anantara Signature Massage (90 mins) specialising in stimulating circulation and restoring the flow of energy.
Day Thirteen: On the day of departure a Sega Tours’ private car will arrive at the hotel to transport you to the airport for your flight home.
