At a glance
Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood House, The Dungeons, Edinburgh Pass, Edinburgh Quay and the zoo are a few of the attractions within easy reach of the Roxburghe Hotel.
Bars and Night Life
Being so central, the hotel provides easy access to Edinburgh’s multitude of bars and restaurants.
Leisure Break Venue
The hotel offers a range of leisure facilities and treatments but is not a specialised spa.
From the Royal Mile to Princes Street, the city is filled with shops and boutiques.
The Roxburghe Hotel has been awarded Edinburgh 2014 Hotel of the Year award at the Scottish Hotel Awards
Spa & Leisure
Providing a little respite from the surrounding urban hum, the Leisure Club at The Roxburghe includes a gym with fitness classes, a pool, sauna and steam room amongst its facilities. None of this would be complete for the modern traveller however, without a few treatments as well, so as is the Macdonald brand’s way, the spa works with Decléor and Jessica products to deliver a collection of therapies and finishing touches as well as reflexology and hopi ear candling.
Please Note: The Spa will be closed from the 14th August 2017 for 3 months due to refurbishments
Hotel & Accommodation
In a refurbished townhouse in the centre of Edinburgh, the award winning Roxburghe sits pride of place on Charlotte Street and as such enjoys access to Charlotte Square gardens as well as being within easy reach of the city’s major tourist attractions and shops. Befitting its location and the supposition that when surrounded by the buzz of a city, a number of culinary options might take your fancy, the hotel has a fine dining restaurant in the form of Melrose, as well as a lounge bar serving teas, coffees and light meals and the Consort Bar for drinks throughout the day.
