Spa & Leisure

The clue is in the title at Trimmer You – it is a bootcamp with the specific goal of getting you in shape against the inspiring backdrop of the Andalucian foothills. It is this location that sets the tone for a trip that is still very much a holiday geared towards relaxation … you just so happen to have more specific targets while you are there as well. The bootcamp is for women only so you needn’t feel self-conscious and the beautiful pool and mountainous views act as inspiration for up to ten hours of daily exercise. A typical day takes advantage of the natural environment and glorious climate with hiking, beach workouts, circuit training, team sports, fartlek training, boxing and aqua aerobics, while at the end of the day it’s time for a little pampering, and what better way than with a couple of the spa treatments on offer?

Hotel & Accommodation

Described as a ‘luxury cortijo’, or rural property, the whitewashed guest house is quintessentially Spanish in form, with a terracotta roof, windows flung open to embrace the verdant green gardens, and that wonderfully welcoming atmosphere unique to the Mediterranean. Rooms are bright with views across the Spanish landscape and en-suite bathrooms, and there are tennis courts, a pool and a sauna to use at your leisure as well as gardens to enjoy.

Of course where weight loss is concerned, food is imperative – and the nutrition squad work on the basis of education and healthy eating rather than unsustainable diets. A typical day would include porridge for breakfast, soup and tortillas for lunch, salmon for dinner and lots of fruit, nuts, oat cakes and even a little dark chocolate in between.
