Spa & Leisure
Set in six acres of grounds, Villa Can Can sits on a hill with the most beautiful sunset views. The infinity pool is 130m2, and there are several relaxation areas around it, including the infinity decking with 14 sun loungers, while all the areas around the pool have views of the whole of Ibiza, and out to Formentera.
The setting is one that lends itself effortlessly to a yoga and meditation retreat encouraging mindfulness and wellbeing that’s both for mind and body. Five star surroundings bring luxury to a week of meditative contemplation through a combination of different yoga practices under the expert guidance of Sophie Clyde who is an expert in yoga nidra, restorative yoga, antenatal and postnatal yoga and specialises in yoga for trauma and stress. Retreats will also include Qi Gong, educational talks and practical support on integrating mindfulness in everyday life and continuing learned practices at home.
Hotel & Accommodation
In an idyllic position above the village of San Lorenzo in Ibiza, Villa Can Can, where White Calm Retreats host their specialised escapes, is surrounded by a pine tree forest and the blissful sound of silence. Two kilometres from the nearest village and at the end of a long driveway, the sense of solitude is part of the retreat’s appeal, but alongside that, Villa Can Can has all the hallmarks of Ibiza’s most stylish escapes. It has seven bedrooms, five of which are doubles with ensuite bathrooms in the main house, while two more are in the adjacent Casita - one twin and one double sharing a separate bathroom. The Villa also has four lounges come dining rooms and a snug complete with all the necessary amenities from the Internet to a TV and iPod docks.
The villa has a contemporary kitchen which is perpetually stocked with herbal teas and all the ingredients for healthy lunches and smoothies in keeping with the White Calm Retreat ethos. Healthy, easily digested food with an alkaline focus is provided to ensure it disrupts the internal system as little as possible and complements the meditation, yoga and mindfulness focus of the escape, all in line with their attitude of personal wellness rather than adhering to a prescriptive formula. There’s even a pagoda for outdoor meals in true Mediterranean style.
