Read full postOne of the most revered names you will hear in the golf, hotel and spa world is The Belfry. A leading light when it comes to that welcoming getaway trifecta that's so beloved by so many of us eager travellers, here are just a few of the reasons we love this West Midlands spa hotel.
It's impossible to mention The Belfry without talking about the golf course. For those who are not that into the sport, the expanse of verdant green is simply beautiful to look at. For those who are golf enthusiasts, the three-time host of the Ryder Cup has three renowned courses - The Brabazon, the PGA National and The Derby, each with their own unique features to enjoy and explore. There's also a PGA National Academy complete with lessons, coaching and a driving range with Toptracer.
There's nothing simple about Simply THE Spa - the dedicated luxury retreat with its own floor within The Belfry Club. Alongside a gym, studio classes and spin studio, it's home to a pool, spa pools, a tranquil conservatory. The Fire and Ice thermal suite is a favourite feature, where you can spend a blissful 90-minutes journeying through a series of hot and cold zoned areas.
The whole experience lends itself to time with friends or group getaways, but perhaps none more so than the spa. The thermal suite is a great way to enjoy leisure time with loved ones, but when it comes to the spa treatments there are 12 rooms, a dual treatment room, and contemporary manicure and pedicure centre, so you can all enjoy pampering at the same time. Treatments use ESPA, Jessica Nails, Mii makeup and St. Tropez, and afterwards you can unwind together in the relaxation room or chill-out room.
Whether you fancy pizza and pasta at Rocca’s, healthy lunches in the Leisure Café, light bites or afternoon tea in the Brabazon Bar, formal meals in The Ryder Grill, or something comforting while you watch live sports events at Sam's club house, Chef Director Glen Watson oversees a range of foodie options throughout your stay.
In a hotel with 319 rooms and suites, there's space for everyone who wants to visit, whether you're here with the family, on a work trip or celebrating a hen party. However, if you do visit with a group, make sure you consider the Manor Suites. Amongst the more recent additions to the hotel, the three suites blend modern style with a cosy aesthetic. They include a spacious living area, king-sized bedroom, your very own private dressing room and spacious bathrooms. They're perfect for getting ready together with friends before dinner or spreading out and feeling like a VIP.
