Why it works … Advanced Enzyme Peel Facial

For weddings and special occasions, the spa at East Sussex National turns to ESPA and in particular, their Advanced Enzyme Peel Facial … and here’s why!

What exactly is the Advanced Enzyme Peel Facial?

It starts with an eye and lip cleanse, which is followed with a face cleanse that’s removed with hot mitts.  We then move on to a deep cleanse with a Clarisonic brush, applying skin savour to areas that need protecting.  This is followed with an enzyme peel that is taken off with a cooling muslin cloth.  After that we apply an eye cream and face oil and begin a deep facial massage focusing on acupressure points  and lymph drainage.  Next we use rose quartz and perform a facial massage before a lifting and firming mask is used while we give the client a scalp massage.  The mask is then removed and followed by a floral spa fresh spritz and we finish with an eye cream, serum, and moisturiser.

Where does it come from?

It is formulated by ESPA using natural ingredients.

What is it supposed to do?

It is meant to plump up the skin, make you visibly radiant, and reduce fine lines

Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?

Yes, we use a repair and restore moisturiser and serum.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

Beforehand, we recommend you avoid direct exposure to the sun/sun bed for seven days, do not use depilatory cream, laser, or waxing on the face for a week, use retinal, retin A, or Vitamin C on face, neck or décolleté for three days, have a face peal, exfoliation or skin bleaching of the face for three days, use any other forms of AHA’S on the face for three months, or have any cosmetic surgery, Botox, or collagen injections.  Afterwards, we suggest you apply the repair and restore serum and moisturiser, use a sun block, and avoid steam rooms and saunas for seven days.

Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?

It’s ideal for brides, grooms, and anyone who has an upcoming event for which they want their skin to look its best!

Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?

If a client has Diabetes or extremely sensitive skin or very congested skins it is best avoided.  It is also not suitable for pregnant women or anyone with a serious illness.
