Calling all foodies! There's a new restaurant at The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa

This luxurious hotel and spa in Bath is taking things up an extra notch with the introduction of Montagu’s Mews - their new bar and dining experience.

If you haven't been to The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa yet, then you have something very special to look forward to. Uncompromisingly luxurious, sticklers for detail and achingly romantic, this beautiful retreat in one of the most coveted locations in Bath is the height of beautiful experiences.

Never ones to sit on their laurels, they have upped their game once again with the introduction of Montagu’s Mews, their new restaurant and bar. Alongside their characteristic flawless service, Montagu’s Mews embodies all the values this hotel has come to offer - history, heritage and exceptional hospitality.

Heritage, history and hospitality

Inspired by the property's original resident, Elizabeth Montagu; host of the Blue Stockings Society, writer, salonière and advocate for women’s education, they say:

"fresh and forward-thinking attitude helped Elizabeth bring people together in the spirit of enlightenment. Who better to inform our unique approach to dining?"

The decor includes a soft, contemporary palette of colours and textures, informal, inviting seating and carefully designed mood lighting to channel the atmosphere of an 18th-century salon into a thoroughly modern, luxurious space.

Tasting menus and seasonal dishes

Food is obviously a central feature, and Head Chef Martin Blake and his dedicated kitchen team serve the best in locally sourced, contemporary dining. From breakfast to afternoon tea, they serve a feast of seasonal dishes and accomplished tasting menus – not to mention there’s always an exquisite patisserie selection to ponder.

Cocktails and classics

Alongside the restaurant the glamorous new bar offers crafted local botanicals, small batch spirits and imaginatively curated wines and beers. Skilled bar staff help you discover a new favourite or mix up a classic concoction as you spend time watching the world go by and enjoying the stylish interiors or relaxed garden seating.

The cherry on top of Montagu's Mews is a newly created outdoor terrace, which allows you to enjoy dining outside, extending the enjoyment of the idyllic gardens with cantilevered parasols, lush greenery, and seasonal heaters. There’s no finer spot for a summer sundowner.
