Manor House, Alsager has been surprising and delighting guests for more than 15 years - first as a welcoming hotel, and more recently with the addition of its contemporary spa, set sympathetically within the historic farmhouse property.
In that time the family-run destination has nurtured a reputation for innovation, gradually creating a destination hotel and spa that offers an adult-only retreat fusing the best of hospitality, holistic wellness, luxury and pampering.
Successful in achieving a rare fusion of atmosphere and amenities that is ideal for those seeking a total wellness escape, quiet time to oneself, a romantic retreat, or a convivial getaway with friends, they continue to surprise and delight guests with new additions to their facilities and offering, keeping guests returning time and again.
This month has been no exception, with the opening of their brand new magnesium-enriched pool in an enchanting central courtyard. Flanked by a set of swinging daybeds, the unique space is a quiet addition to the garden for soaking, swaying and enjoying the stillness.
Known for delivering UK firsts (including a swim-up bar - of which there are now two in the spa), this is the first outdoor magnesium-enriched spa pool in the country. A warm water pool designed for total relaxation, it's a restful place to stop and simply be, where the water is imbued with magnesium, to support muscle recovery, stress relief and improved sleep.
Alongside the indoor spa facilities, the English Country Spa Garden, and their touch therapies from TRIBE517, the magnesium enriched pool not only acts as a beautiful experience in its own right, but as the final connecting piece between the hotel and spa areas. Each area is now inextricably linked, both philosophically and physically, whether you want to spend the majority of your stay focused on wellness, pampering, or dipping in and out of them (literally and metaphorically) during your visit.
Jess Middleton, Director of Manor House Hotel, Alsager, says: "We had this beautiful courtyard, and we wanted to make it a more purposeful space that people had a reason to spend time in and enjoy. Now, you step in and immediately feel like you're being invited into the spa experience. Whether you want to immerse yourself or just dip your toes in, the magnesium in the water not only adds to the wellbeing experience, but it also means the water needs less chlorine than a regular pool, so it has this lovely silky feeling on the skin. Everyone who uses it says how relaxed they feel afterwards, so it's a gorgeous, gentle way to enjoy time, whether it's in addition to the other spa facilities or as a way of winding down at the end of the day."
As well as the new magnesium enriched pool, Manor House, Alsager has opened three new treatment rooms and a new block of men's changing facilities this month in response to popular demand.
