The win is the spa’s third Condé Nast Johansens award, having previously been named Best Destination Spa in 2017 and 2020.At only five years old, that’s a pretty impressive tally for the destination spa, which was also named The Sunday Times Best British Spa Hotel in the UK and Condé Nast Johansen’s Best Destination Spa in the UK & Ireland 2018, 2020 and now 2021.

It is the flagship spa of South West-based natural skincare and spa brand GAIA Skincare, which boasts a growing portfolio of over 10 spa affiliates across the UK, including Whatley Manor Hotel & Spa in the Cotswolds. Whatley Manor was also named in this year’s awards for Best for Green Practices & Sustainability respectively.

“It’s not only a huge honour to receive such an important industry award for Gaia Spa, but for all three of GAIA Skincare’s spa partners to be recognised out of the 18 award categories is a huge boost to morale after a very tricky 18 months for spas all over the world. The importance of taking care of one’s physical and mental wellbeing has never been more prevalent than it is now, and we look forward to continuing to provide exceptional nurturing and holistic experiences that support our guests’ wellness, naturally.”
