Read full postLondon has so much to offer when it comes to hospitality. This centre of socialising (something we’re looking forward to doing again), history, culture and style, it is well known for its luxury London spa hotels that celebrate all those nuances. One of the most beautiful boutique experiences, can be found at the Paddington Spa at The Chilworth Hotel.
A restored, stuccoed townhouse evocative of a more romantic era, as you walk into the lobby you are enveloped in warm, dark wood, polished marble and crushed velvet, greeted as though you’re members of a private club, and cosseted in a hotel that’s the best of old and new. The hotel has 124 rooms and suites that combine rich furnishings with calm colours and natural materials.
In a part of London characterised by some of the most iconic architecture in the City, The Chilworth is a stylish hotel just a short walk from Paddington station. The result is somewhere that’s both incredibly convenient for travel, perfect for exploring and also extremely charming. Making the most of the surroundings, instead of a gym, the hotel makes use of nearby parkland for fitness, offering guided runs and running maps and plenty of water.
The spa experiences at this hotel are woven into the fabric of the whole experience. For example, sleek, marbled bathrooms include invigorating, vitamin-infused rain showers for healthier hair, skin and nails and an in-room aroma box diffuses bespoke scents. In your room you will also find nutritious nibbles, organic coffee infused with vitamins, Pukka teas, a yoga mat and in-room guide to help you meditate more effectively. the spa itself is a sanctuary of tranquility. There’s a Jacuzzi and steam room, treatments are tailored to help meet your health and lifestyle goals, and guests leave with a Mind, Body and City goodie bag to help continue the experience following their visit. It includes a sleep kit complete with slumber-inducing essentials like aromatherapy mist, a sleep mask and ear plugs. They also recommend that you settle in at night by ordering a Moon Milk - a milky bedtime drink with a dusting of sleep-friendly spices like nutmeg, cinnamon and turmeric - before bed, and use their ‘Beditation’ guide to help you switch off.
From lazy lunches to three-course dinners or nursing a nightcap, there’s a variety of options for all times of the day in the bar and restaurant at this London spa hotel. Hankies restaurant is a stylish West End eatery serving a combination of tapas meets traditional Delhi street food throughout the day. Afternoon tea is a cosmopolitan delight, and the bar is a seductive environment that’s perfect for romantic evenings as well as work meetings or coffees with friends.
