Radisson Edwardian Blu Manchester launches The Spa and Gym

Radisson Edwardian Blu Manchester has been investing in a new look over the last 12 months. Next they are updating the conference rooms and the bedrooms, but right now they’re launching their brand new spa.

Named The Spa and Gym, it has an industrial chic feel. It is a midweek haven for business travellers in the week, as well as a pampering treat for friends, couples and small groups at the weekend. Work out in the brand new gym, where there’s Technogym equipment including cardio and resistance machines and a full performance rig with TRX equipment. To make workouts that much smarter, every piece of gym equipment is also interactive. It works via Bluetooth to connect to an app and track your workout and calorie count if you want.

Each area of the spa has its own distinct vibe. So after the gym you can make your way to the wet spa facilities. There’s a 12 metre pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, and experience showers with four different settings. There’s a relaxation room and changing rooms complete with GHD hair dryers. There are then six treatment rooms where therapists use the ESPA product line in a wide range of face and body treatments. ESPA even created a bespoke Balinese signature treatment for the spa, reflecting its style and influences.

The developments come after investment across the hotel, which has included the introduction of the Peter Street Kitchen, the main restaurant at Radisson Edwardian Blu Manchester. Embracing the concept of a convivial, shared dining experience, it serves contemporary Japanese and Mexican small plates. They’re complemented by a wide selection of wines, sake and signature cocktails.

Meanwhile, for afternoon tea, guests are invited to The Birch Room in the city’s Grade II listed Free Trade Hall. It’s a grand location for a traditional experience featuring plenty of Champagne and an exquisite pâtisserie selection.
