What exactly is the spa treatment?

The ultimate goal of crystal healing is to bring the whole body back to a state of pure unconditional love. This spa treatment is personalised using crystals to douse and discover which chakras are blocked. It includes a full body, face and scalp massage; crystal placement, aftercare, and a crystal prescription. All Gaia treatments start with a welcome foot ritual and consultation, and are followed with a Gaia-inspired tea.

Where does it come from?

Crystals have been used in healing for over 6,000 years. They are used to absorb, focus, direct and diffuse our energy fields. That enables an out of balance body to find its natural energetic rhythm once again.

At Gaia we have designed our own unique treatment using the appropriate crystals, which are are placed on and around the body. In this treatment we concentrate on the seven main chakras. To give you a treatment full of intention and integrity we use our own natural wellness brand, Gaia. It’s inspired by the ancient Greek goddess otherwise known as Mother Nature.

What is the spa treatment supposed to do?

Each crystal has particular properties according to its colour, shape and mineral content. You can make use of them to initiate a specific effect on the energy balance of chakras, meridians, energy, organs and emotions. Crystal therapy works on physical ailments from headaches to foot pain. It can also work on emotional wellness to boost confidence, self-expression and ease stress.

We create the correct ambiance by performing the treatment in our purpose-built Gaia therapy rooms. We keep the guest warm and comfortable. Every crystal therapy treatment starts with a foot ritual and meditation with the guest. Our naturally powerful Gaia products boost the treatment benefits as well, leaving you either awakened, balanced or calmed. Our therapists receive specialised advanced training on crystal therapy and work with their own personally chosen crystal set. The crystals are cleansed and properly cared for after each treatment to ensure they are maintained and fully functional.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre- or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

Clients don’t have to do anything prior to the treatment. However, we always recommend using the facilities or having a quiet moment to ensure you have switched off your mind from the outside world. We offer personalised crystal home care after every treatment as well. This includes advice for health and diet to heal unbalanced chakras, as well as a crystal prescription and one to take home.
