What exactly are the biotic facials?

They are a fusion of actives, ttouch and technology. The skin is cleansed, toned and prepared with an exfoliation initially, before high potency activators are applied and essential oils. A micro-current is used next to firm and tone the skin using the BIOTECH machine. Depending on the facial that you choose, you will then continue with a gel mask and further activators, or you may include LED Light Therapy to either target wrinkles or bacteria in the skin depending on your own objectives. Oxygen Therapy completes the facials, to help plump out fine lines and increase skin firmness.

The treatments were developed by renowned skincare brand Elemis following a lot of research into touch and technology. The idea was to deliver immediate and longer lasting results.

What is it supposed to do?

It supercharges the skin to achieve targeted, immediate and longer lasting results. Depending on the variation of the biotech facial that you have, you can target lines and wrinkles, improve contouring, brighten skin and improve pigmentation, address uneven skin tone, soothe blemishes and speed recovery, and restore the natural balance of the skin.

Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?

Yes, we combine it with the Skin Energising System which help support and maintain optimum skin function and vitality, leaving it looking smooth, youthful and beautifully revived.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

We recommend that you have a course of six to 10 facials to get the most out of it, that said, the results are visible from the first one.

Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?

It’s perfect for people who are considering botox but who not really sure about it as biotec bridges the gap between hands-on facials and botox.

Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?

Anyone that has had botox or fillers in the past three months should not have it, pregnant women, and there are certain medical conditions including MS, cancer or epilepsy that it’s not suitable for. It’s always best to check with your doctor if you’re unsure.
