Read full postMixing up those summer get togethers, Racing Breaks have released the racing calendar for the summer.
The start of the summer signals the beginning of the Flat season and plenty of quality racing at some of the best racecourses in the UK. Sociable and taking full advantage of the sunshine (don’t forget that wide brimmed hat), from Ascot to York, there are the races for true enthusiasts and those dipping their toes into the proverbial waters for the first time.
Royal Ascot is at the top of the social calendar. Stay at the 4* Macdonald Frimley Hotel with top of the range spa facilities. The perfect place to relax and enjoy time with friends whilst making the most of your down time. There is no better excuse to pamper yourself than a day out at the races. Then get dressed up in all of your finery for one of the most glamorous events of the season.
If Royal Ascot isn’t your idea of fun, then there are other race days that take place at British racecourses throughout the summer like the York Ebor Festival in August. The sun is almost guaranteed to be shining and with this festival of horse racing taking place in such a beautiful city, what’s not to love?
It’s not just the horses you can enjoy at racing events either. Make the most of the long evenings with top performances from artists such as Rita Ora, Madness, Jess Glynne, and the legendary Tom Jones. Concerts take place at racecourses all over the country so you won’t feel the need to travel long distances.
