Three spa treatments you have to try at Gaia Spa at Boringdon Hall

If you haven’t been to Boringdon Hall yet, you’re missing out. If you have already been and haven’t tried all three of these treatments, now’s the time to go back again. Whether you’re a new spa goer looking to have an inspiring experience, or a dab hand looking for a unique spa treatment, you’ll love these experiences at Gaia Spa at Boringdon Hall in Devon…

Each are unique Gaia rituals designed to identify three levels of an individual’s wellbeing. They recognise the holistic benefits of treatments across mental, physical and spiritual domains. Each is 120 minutes, and in keeping with the hotel’s sense of history they aim to be meaningful, connecting to history and tradition. The aim is that they are felt physically and understood mentally. They bring a person to a state of wellness - this is more than the absence of illness, the state of being well is a sense of life, high energy levels, contentment, enjoyment and fulfilment, which gives mental clarity and physical strength.

Adding a final but all important flourish, all Gaia rituals start with a welcome foot ritual and consultation. They are also followed by aftercare advice and a Gaia tea.

Gaia Crystal Therapy

The ultimate goal of crystal healing is to bring the whole body back to a state of pure unconditional love. The treatment is personalised using crystals to discover which chakras are blocked. It includes meditation, a full body massage, a facial using rose quartz crystals and a nurturing scalp massage. Aftercare, product advice and a crystal prescription are also recommended by your therapist so you can continue the healing at home.

Gaia Raindrop Therapy

Raindrop therapy is a healing technique using pure essential oils. It combines aromatherapy oils and moist heat to bring total balance, harmony and body wellness mentally, physically and emotionally. Techniques are used throughout the massage to release toxins and lymph, boosting the immune system and bringing the body back to natural alignment. The ritual includes full body massage using the purest essential oils as droplets to the back, spine and feet, a face cleanse and a nurturing scalp massage.

Gaia Total Holistic Ritual

This is a deeply therapeutic ritual to release tension and stress bringing the mind and body into harmonious balance. Using advanced Balinese and Lomi Lomi techniques, it originates from Hawaii. The body is exfoliated followed by an application of nourishing Gaia mud. Once showered, a Gaia blend of your choice is poured warmly onto the body for a muscle easing massage. The Gaia rejuvenating face treatment completes this ritual, leaving a natural feeling of wellbeing, whilst skin is left smooth and replenished.
