Why it works: The Prosecco Spa at Norfolk Mead Hotel
As we head towards the holiday season bubbles and sparkles are very much on the horizon, but while Champagne brunches are one way to do it, what about a Prosecco Spa?
Read full postAdding a new dimension to aromatherapy, Imagine Spa at Orton Hall explains why a Babor aromatherapy wrap is the way to see your skin through the remaining winter months!
It’s a one hour treatment which allows the client to choose an aromatherapy oil to suit their needs. The oil is then mixed with a conditioning body pack, which is like a moisturiser and is warm when applied to the skin, almost like a mask. That is applied to the whole body, and then the therapist wraps the client in a plastic sheet and covers them in towels and a fleece to keep them warm while the mask works. While that is on, we offer the client a foot massage and a scalp massage. At the end we unwrap the client and rub the products into the skin.
It’s a Babor treatment, which is a brand whose products are based on botanical ingredients.
It conditions the skin and in many ways the mind as well. It leaves the skin soft and supple. It’s also very good for detox.
We add in a foot or scalp massage depending on what the clients prefer, and we always offer unlimited amount of herbal tea to extend the detox process.
We advise clients not to have alcohol or caffeine afterwards, and to avoid going in the pool afterwards so that you don’t wash off all the products.
It’s ideal for anyone in need of a bit of a detox, with dry skin, or if you have been drinking a lot of alcohol lately. Mums always love it as well!
If you have any underlying medical conditions you are best to consult your doctor before coming for the treatment, or speak to a therapist. It isn’t recommended during pregnancy.
