Taking a tour of luxury spa, Guerlain Spa at Raffles London
When our Lead Product Designer, Jas, took a trip to Guerlain Spa at Raffles London, she discovered a London spa hotel that takes luxury spa experiences to a whole new level.
Read full postThe Corinthia is one of London’s most luxurious spa hotels, dedicated to both pampering and wellbeing. Here they tell us about their ESPA Natural Face Lift spa treatment - a facial designed to make skin look and feel better.
ESPA Natural Face Lift is a 90 minute treatment designed to give you more youthful looking skin. The facial begins with an eye and lip cleanse followed by a facial cleanse. Your therapist then performs a skin analysis to highlight particular concerns and recommend products.
The second cleanse is accompanied by steam. A facial massage consists of four stages that replicate a workout. That starts with a detoxifying massage to clarify and drain toxins. It then moves onto an invigorating massage to activate circulation and bring fresh oxygen to the skin cells. We then use jade rollers to help smooth lines and wrinkles.
We then use a sculpt massage which involves deep, slow techniques that lift and smooth fine lines. The relaxing massage consists of a scalp massage as well. Meanwhile, a lifting and smoothing mask cools the skin. The therapist will then apply the ProBiome serum, eye cream and moisturiser to finish.
It is entirely unique to the ESPA brand from the products to the techniques.
It uses cutting edge ProBiome technology it combined with the same benefits of physical exercise. It is a results-driven treatment that’s designed to make skin visibly more youthful, radiant and firm. It has been developed to detoxify, invigorate, sculpt and relax using different massage techniques.
We recommend using the ProBiome range of skincare products at home to adapts and works with the natural biome on the surface of the skin. The ProBiome eye cream is especially designed to protect against blue light, emitted by laptops and phones. We also recommend, where possible, that you try to get seven to eight hours sleep each night. Also wear an SPF in the day.
In general, guests are advised to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Drink plenty of water and have light, healthy meals. Post-treatment, we recommend plenty of water. Also avoid the use of any make-up or using the spa facilities in order to allow the products to be absorbed into the skin. It’s best to use the spa facilities before your treatment.
It’s suitable for all skin types. However, it is especially good for customers with maturing skin who are actively looking to invest in their skin’s long-term health.
There are no contraindications to the treatment in itself. However, the cooling mask contains algae extracts. Therefore, guests with seaweed or iodine allergies will need to have a different mask applied. Our Lift and Firm Mask is a suitable alternative.
