Read full postAs we head towards the holiday season bubbles and sparkles are very much on the horizon, but while Champagne brunches are one way to do it, what about a Prosecco Spa?
Known for their unique therapies, from the UK’s first-ever Beer Spa to their Pig in Mud Spa Experience, Norfolk Mead Hotel explains everything we need to know about their unique treatment.
It's a self-led bathing experience, where guests bathe in our specially designed wooden hot tubs in a dedicated room. There are two wooden hot tubs available, each lined with mosaic on the inside, but with this authentic barrel appearance on the outside. Each tub is suitable for up to two people, and there is a seat in each one, so you can enjoy the experience on your own, with a friend or partner, or as a group of up to eight people.
We fill the tubs with fresh warm water and then add our special ingredients, including Champagne Leaf Extract, caviar extract, grape leaf and pearl extracts, as well as jojoba, apricot kernel and sweet almond oils, all of which help to make the skin glow. Guests also get half a bottle of Prosecco (per person) to add to the luxury experience. It's a 45-minute experience, and really makes you feel rejuvenated.
It's inspired by the indulgent bathing of Cleopatra but with our own Norfolk Mead twist. It's a different take on our Beer Spa experience, which is influenced by European traditions.
The ritual blends pure relaxation with the benefits of Champagne Leaf Extract, which is a powerhouse ingredient known for its anti-ageing and skin-renewing properties, boosting collagen, enhancing skin's firmness and restoring radiance. It also contains caviar extract, which is rich in vitamins A, B, D and E, for deep hydration and skin rejuvenation; grape leaf and pearl extracts, which are packed with antioxidants to promote a youthful glow, as well as jojoba, apricot kernel and sweet almond oils, which nourish and soften for silky-smooth skin. It's great as a treatment in its own right, or as an addition to other therapies like a massage or a facial.
Our Prosecco Spa is the pinnacle of indulgence, so it's a gorgeous treatment for special occasions. It's also designed for groups of between two to eight people, so it's great for romantic spa days, or celebrations with friends.
It's great for just about everyone, but it's not recommended during pregnancy.
I would definitely recommend having a massage afterwards because the warm water, ingredients and water jets relax the muscles and stimulate circulation, so a massage directly afterwards would really help if you're suffering from aches and pains or just want to enhance the sense of relaxation.
