What exactly is an Elemis Biotec Facial?

Elemis Biotec Facials come in two variations including the Biotec Triple Tec Anti-Wrinkle Facial and the Biotec Micro Firm and Lift Facial. Both treatments start with a thorough consultation; then the skin is cleansed, toned and prepared with an exfoliation. High potency activators are applied to the skin and essential oils are expertly formulated to provide the catalytic power behind the facials and penetrate deep into the skin. A micro-current is used next in both facials. The microcurrent is the only aesthetic technology that can physically firm and tone the skin. The Micro Firm and Lift Facial continues with a hands-on firming jawline massage. This is followed with a hydrating mask and Galvanic is then performed on top of the Hydra Gel Mask. Galvanic is a two-step treatment that works with positive and negative charged ions to propel similarly charged, high-potency actives deeper into the skin. It minimizes the symptoms of ageing brought on by stress and tiredness - fine lines, dullness, photo-ageing, sensitivity and blemishes. The Triple Tec Anti Wrinkle Facial uses LED Light Therapy after Microcurrent. A light is moved over the skin - red light stimulates collagen production, increasing cell renewal and boosting the micro-circulation to plump and smooth the appearance of fine lines leaving skin feel firmer and tighter. Blue light delivers a powerful anti-bacterial effect to minimize skin-bacteria. Finally Oxygen Therapy is applied over the Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift Mask. O2 Infusion Therapy uses powerful bursts of compressed air to infuse the skin with a combination of 95% pure oxygen and selected high-potency actives to help visibly plump out fine lines and increase skin firmness.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of it?

Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?

Anyone concerned with anti-ageing and wanting to see a visible difference in their skin.

Is there anyone who shouldn’t have this treatment and why?

We wouldn’t recommend the treatment pregnant women, anyone with a pacemaker, MS, cancer or epilepsy. Anyone with a heart condition must have a note from their doctor saying they can have the treatment, similarly with thrombosis. It is best avoided if you have severe acne or psoriasis and Diabetes must be insulin controlled. If you are being treated for depression with medication it is best to speak to a therapist first, if you have had collagen fillers you must wait two weeks before having this treatment, and if you have had botox it is important to wait for three months.
