Read full postFrom winding down after all that organisation to wedding skincare, never underestimate the importance of a spa break or two on your pre-wedding checklist. Getting you feeling your best in mind and body, not to mention quite literally feeling confident in your skin, here’s our spa wedding checklist for treatments and pampering before your big day…
Massages will help you to feel your best from the inside out. It’s recommended to have one a week as part of your wedding skincare in the lead up to your big day for the best results.
As part of your wedding skin prep at home, each morning brush dry skin in brisk strokes from feet to hips, wrists to shoulders, waist down and décolleté up and out. Pay particular attention to any dry areas and follow with a body moisturiser or oil.
Now’s the time for the facial part of your wedding skin prep to give your skin a healthy glow but also to give it time to settle before your wedding. Skin will need a week to recover from the facial; you shouldn’t have one the day before because all facials will pull out toxins and while you won’t necessarily break out, it is a possibility we’re sure you would rather avoid on your wedding day. A week after a facial everything is renewed and the effects will be showing and glowing.
Try a cleansing balm like ESPA’s Nourishing Cleansing Balm to cleanse, soothe and soften skin. For best results use a muslin cloth and really take time to massage, lather and rinse to rehydrate the skin. It’s also a great way to relax at the start and end of the day.
The day before your wedding is the time to prep for all the finishing touches to your wedding skin care. Manicures, brows, lashes and spray tans can all be done at this point. While you can probably do all of them at home, a spa experience adds an extra touch of enjoyment that you can share with your mum or best friends. Just remember to exfoliate and moisturise properly in the days leading up to your tan for an even finish.
To ensure you get the most from your finishing touches and pre-wedding skin care, you can use products at home to ensure an even tan that lasts, immaculate brows, healthy nails and perfect lashes.
