How ESPA is helping women navigate menopause
ESPA celebrates the launch of their dedicated menopause skincare and treatment collection in partnership with GenM.
Read full postSitting on my bookshelf is a copy of Neal’s Yard’s Recipes for Natural Beauty. It’s something of an old school book, written by Romy Fraser, Founder of Neal’s Yard, the skincare brand famed for its blue glass bottles and available around the world. Fraser sold the business in 2005 to set up her own working, sustainable farm in Devon, but her legacy lives on.
The book on my shelf is something of a skincare and natural wellness bible for anyone who takes joy in mixing up lotions and potions at home, enjoying the process and the wholesomeness of the experience. However, what Fraser did so well, and what the brand continues to be recognised for, is providing remedies that work, that are of good quality and that are reassuringly natural - even if you don’t fancy the mess of mixing them up in your own kitchen.
Such is the enduring power of her seemingly genuine ethos (an ethos which she evidently continues to live by), that luxury spas continue to use her products and celebrate everything that they have to offer.
One of the brand’s most recent collaborations, with the spa at Shangri-La The Shard, is a case in point. The hyper luxurious spa and hotel in the heart of London has quickly garnered a reputation for doing everything exceptionally well. The architecture, the food, the design, the views - it’s all out of this world. Quite literally - it’s on level 52 of the 125 metre high Shard building. So the fact that they chose to work with Neal’s Yard products in their spa really tells you something.
Both featuring in their therapies and as gifts so guests can continue the wellness experience at home, the partnership means that their collection of treatments ranges from therapeutic to holistic massages. They use the brand’s famed natural and organic, ethically sourced herbs, botanicals and essential oils to help find the perfect balance between outer beauty and inner health.
As a case in point, their Sky High Retreat includes a 60-minute Neal’s Yard Remedies aromatherapy massage and a 15% discount on their products as well. The massage is a beautiful treatment where a Neal’s Yard Remedies consultant uses a tailor-made blend of 100% organic essential oils based on your wants and needs and blended just for you. The result is that you get the physical benefits of massage, as well as the sensory benefits of the fragrant essential oils.
