The St Moritz Hotel is a little slice of coastal chic, nestled between Rock and Polzeath. Giving guests breathtaking sea views to wake up to and a unique therapeutic experience, here's what you need to know.
With its Art Deco architecture and considered interiors, St Moritz Hotel is widely recognised as one of the most stylish hotels to stay in, in this part of the UK. Guests can choose between hotel rooms and suites or self-catering villas and apartments, all enjoying sumptuous furnishings and views into their subtropical gardens to the sea beyond.
This year St Moritz Hotel unveiled its brand new spa experience, making it one of the leading luxury spa hotels in Cornwall. Cowshed Active and Relax is a wellness destination, architecturally inspired by the Art Deco aesthetic of the hotel but with a modern twist. Sea views accompany an array of facilities including an outdoor hydro pool, an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms, ice fountains, multi-sensory showers, seating by the pool and immaculate lounge areas.
Alongside the spa facilities, there are six treatment rooms at the spa, which is proudly the UK’s only Cowshed Spa outside Soho House properties. They use the mood-enhancing Cowshed products based on botanical ingredients straight out of an English country garden in a collection of indulgent treatments. The cherry on top is their on-site shop, so you can even take your favourite skincare products home with you.
Cornwall is well known for its natural larder, and the hotel serves local ingredients with aplomb. The Seaside Café is a casual destination serving superb fresh-caught seafood and local, seasonal produce as well as delicious sourdough pizzas, while the Shorecrest Restaurant is a fine dining experience with a daily-changing menu. Don't forget to try their afternoon tea - cream first.
Perched on the cliff top, wake to views of the Camel Estuary and Stepper Point, step straight out onto the coast path, and know that you're within easy reach of some of Cornwall's most popular locations, including Rock (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), Polzeath (famous for its surf) and Port Isaac (the location of ITV's Doc Martin series).
